Ohhhh you guys make me smiiiiiile!   :D :D  Wish I coulda bean there with all of yaaaa!

Many joys have been occurring today indeed!  I had a great day at work because I was in such a giddy mood to be going home tomorrow for a few weeks!  And everyone joked around all morning, then it was so slow I got to get out of work at noon!

Turns out to be a small miracle that I got out early... I went to the gas station, only to find my wallet completely and utterly not in my purse... (the gas light staring me in the face as the tank is empty...)  "Great," I thought, figuring I either left it at the store or someone for the first time all season proved dishonest at work...  Thankfully, I had the health food store number in my phone, and upon calling, I found out that my wallet was turned in!!!  Everything in tact.  Lord I must've been only half-conscious....CLOSE ONE.  May not have been going home tomorrow all along!  The cashier guy turned it in though.... such an HONEST MAN.  Gave him a tip which he tried to tell me he wasn't allowed to take and I said "that's too bad, it's yours now!"  :P

I was a mess the whole drive home, singing as loud as I could and shouting random THANK  YOUS hahahahahah so grateful!!   :D :D

ARRRGGG!!  What a blessing!!  *high fives!*  Yeah, I mean, it goes missing, and you immediately have to start trying to come to terms with it so you don't just go psychotic.... and the impact comes in waves....  "Ok.... not headin home tomorrow I guess!........... ok... already bought APC tickets for Pittsburgh.... for myself and two friends who are counting on my ability to pick the tickets up.....right.... and MMJ tickets for 2 nights + the trip to Maryland for 3 days.....with no ID or cards....hmmmm..... ok...." hahahah just trying to come to terms with all the shit.... SO grateful that things worked out for both of us!!!!

Seriously amazing luck.  I didn't realize mine was missing until noonish the next day cos I was recovering from Lolla, sleeping in and lazing about the house.  It was only when I started unpacking my muddy festie purse that I was like "huh, where's my wallet..."  Proceeded to tear the house apart, call every cab company in town, and finally resigned myself to calling the bank, transit card and credit card companies.  No unusual activity.  Hm.  Then I remembered that both my bank card and credit card were due to expire, and they'd sent me replacement cards that I had left in a stack of mail and hadn't bothered to activate yet.  First stroke of luck....

Went out to get some cash and buy a transit card (since I had no way of getting to work the next day, much less the transit office, DMV, etc etc...) and as I walked started to feel really sad about the irreplaceable stuff in my wallet...a four leaf clover my dad found and pressed for me, a bit of confetti from MMJ MSG NYE, my PJ guitar picks...the rest of the stuff was a hassle, but replaceable.

But then I got a magical phone call.  There really are good people left in this world...    :)

You ever have a tomato sandwich? Take a slice of bread and a big fat summer tomato. Preferably warm from a garden so this is really only good in the summer. Spread some Hellman's, add a fat tomato slice, salt, pepper, nom.
Cow temperature.

Maggie I love that you still have a confetti piece from NYE MSG. Me too. Wish I could hug you now. The four leaf clover is sweet too. Glad you ladies had your wallets returned, nothing worse than that feeling in your stomach when it's gone....
