I got introduced to Wolf People when I was hanging out at Chez Ruckus before the Deer Tick show in Baltimore the other night.  Really great stuff, jealous you guys are getting to see them.

And Crispy, that's great about Patty Griffin.  I had a front row seat for her show here in June, and it was sublime.

The truck, well, I think I need a ride in that bad boy to fully appreciate it.

Well hell, man, come up to Philly with Ruckus and see them with us! I figured you would have already heard about and gotten into Wolf People.

That pickup's better for looking at than riding in, I think.

That truck might be nice to take to a drive-in or the lake. Do you have a large dog to ride in the back? If not, you know it's required. Also, Whippy could come to Philly... You know what that say about men who come to Philly....big cheesesteak sandwiches.

It is a good drive-in pickup! Now I need to find a good love seat to go in the bed. I do have a big black lab who rides back there, you can see him in that pic I posted in the Cain's show thread, snoozing on the floor.

Yep, Whippy totally needs a big cheese steak.

I'd love to join you guys in Philly for Wolf People, but Flake and I have tickets to see Neutral Milk Hotel at The National in Richmond that night.  Those tix are will call only, so if we don't go I eat them, so we will probably stick with that plan.

Wish I could see you on your venture eastward, Crispy.

Also, I've actually never in my life had a cheese steak.  I went vegetarian before me and a cheese steak ever crossed paths.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

Neutral Milk Hotel! You would be kicked out of the Cool Kids Club if you skipped that for Wolf People! Their show here isn't until February I think, and it won't be preempted for anything. I will be going to Wolf People's NYC show the next night!

Cheese steaks, meh. Ruckus, J, and Dan will be leading us to better food options! Still meaty, though, I'm afraid.

Had a dream about The Jacket. I became a member and everyone in the band knew I sucked and couldn't play, but Jim stuck up for me during an interview. He acknowledged I couldn't play but I brought something special to the band he could explain. I think I was the tambourine player and still somehow sucked at it.

I might have my old job back. Im so happy I could cry. I was foolish when I quit a couple of months ago thinking the grass was greener or the other side of the fence. I had lirterally jumped from the frying pan into the fire.

I've been in that exact situation. It was so great to be able to go back to my original place of employment.

The Tribe is in the post season for the first time since 2007.  The Browns are 2-0 since trading Trent Richardson and inserting hometown boy Brian Hoyer at QB.  And the Stillers are 0-4 for the first time since ths 60's!  It's been a good Sunday!!!

Good luck TBC!

I sort of know where youre at. I relocated for a job and lost it after only a couple months, almost 3 months ago, because of a mistake I made. Despite my manager advocating to keep me on, ultimately it was out of her hands. Pretty much was my dream job/location to land after graduation, so the last few months have probably been the hardest of my life. Having extreme difficulty even getting a response to the 60+ applications I've filled out - probably heard back from maybe 5-7? - didnt make it easier. I was worried Id have to move for about the 5th time in 5 years (previously because of off and on school) because I couldnt afford to not have a job any longer as I needed my parents to help out with rent and expenses for September and October, but luckily I finally landed something and officially got the job today! Downside is its about an hour commute, but upside is a nice relaxing drive 1/3 of which is going over the Chesapeake Bay and increased hours/shift differential/weekend differential compared to my previous job totally covers tolls and gas costs, and most importantly I dont have to move from Virginia Beach.

So, finally landed my new job today. Pirates in the playoffs for the first time in 20 years 1 game playoff is tonight...Come on lord, keep the good vibes coming, please.

Didnt see your thoughts on the Trent trade in the NFL thread, but what did you think of it?

Of course, hard to say until you see how the pick pans out - and how high of a pick it is.
