QuoteI have been drinking beer some 41 years since about the age of 10 thanks to the influence of much older cousins from NJ at a lake cottage in southern IN. Last spring I started drinking IPA's. I have 36 bottles in my collection so far and am always looking for more. I just saw an add for the Hop Shop in the city and that will be my next venture. So far some of my favorites are: Lakefront, Avery, Hazed, Hop Devil, O'Fallons, and Schlafly. Hop Juice and Unearthly are a couple of good IIPA's, but IMO alot of the doubles over compensate with barley malt and give it a sweetness I am not looking for in a beer. I like it "green and clean." Here's to Hoppiness! [smiley=beer.gif]
TEO you are so the man!
Here's hoping (hopping?  ;) ) we get to share a brew one day  [smiley=beer.gif]
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

QuoteSaw that Terrapin stuff at the distributor when I was there a few days ago - in PA. It was a variety pack, and pretty sure that was in there. Reasonably priced at something like 30-35$ as well.

Guess ill have to put it on the list

So jealous right now... Any ideas on shipping beer??

Terrapin is in Athens, GA.  The Terrapin Rye Pale Ale is very good, but I like the Terrapin Big Hoppy Monster a little more!

So Hazed and Infused is pretty good?? Never had it or any brews from that company whose name is escaping me right now

Anyway...If you are after some fantastic beers, pick up an Australian one, or if you are in the country this post will help you out, and please do not make it a Fosters FFS. Very few people in Australia drink it coz it tastes like BBQ cleaner. Because us Aussies love the idea of drinking beer on any occassion. I doubt your local bottle-o will import them, but if you ever see any of the following jump on it:

This statement just made me realize Aussies actually do call grills "barbie's"  ;D

Boulder Brewing Company.

Although it's actually a dry-hopped ale, it's just as hoppy as an IPA.  Their IPA is called Mojo Risin and is very good too.

TEO, have you got your hands on Bells' Hopslam yet?  It's hard to get a hold of, but damn good.

Hop Shop? Oh I have to come to Indy for a store named THAT. The name promises of frosty malted goodness.

I can't even get Terrapin in Kentucky.  I used to live in Atlanta and drink it all the time... That and Sweetwater 420!

consider it done!  that commercial has me hooked.

i got all excited about hoegaarden thinking it was kronenbourg.  :(

two other recommendations?  i'm already imposing a three pint minimum on myself since i'm staying in tonight.  tomorrow's going to be a great day.

Sassbox

Hoegaarden is pronounced "who garden"...I think the six pack might even have that pronounciation spelled out on the side.  Cheers!
God sure baked a lot of fruitcake, baby.

mjkoehler

Wow K. That's a f'n great selection.

Hoegaarden or kronenbourg either would be a great choice too.

capt. scotty

Leffe Blonde is a pretty damn good Belgian

I def like it more than Hoegaarden
