;D  I like them hoppy, but just not soooo hoppy.  I love Surly Furious, and that's reeeeally hoppy, but also really well balanced.

I'm actually with you on this, but my reasons include the fact that excessive hoppiness sometimes makes my esophagus swell up. Weird.  :P

I had Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter last night along with the standard Guinness.  It was quite tasty.

That's some tasty brew from a great brewery.

I was up outside of Fort Bragg, CA at my Father-in-law's over the Easter weekend. The (EXCELLENT) North Coast Brewery is up there and we stopped in for lunch and beer on Saturday. Had some of this with lunch, took some home too for later that evening. Delicious, strong beer.



Mendocino County does beer right.  8-)

Stone Brewing is finally distributing to Chicago!  I tried the Stone Smoked Porter with Vanilla Beans and the 2008 Imperial Russian Stout Aged in Bourbon Barrels.  Om nom nom.  Maybe a few more tonight.
