My favorite beer glass ever is a Terrrapin I lifted from Our Daily Bread in Boone, NC. Something about drinking out of that glass just makes me happy. Turtles are badass.

QuoteSorry Torp but move your ass over because I am dumping you for my new best friend, Ranger. Those Simcoe Hops Cones give it that citrus bite I have been looking for. Plus your CEO is hot...
I just tried Torpedo for the first time last night. It's good, but I'm with headdy, I prefer their regular IPA. Ranger is a damn good beer. I'm not too crazy about Fat Tire, 1554 is pretty good. I found Ranger on tap in this weird little restaurant in the mountains that my wife and I stopped at on the way home from our anniversary getaway for $2 a pint. Unfortunately I had to drive 200 miles so I only had one, but it was gooooood

So, uh...Dark Lord Day was insane.  It was estimated there were about 7000 people there, you know, just hangin' out at a freakin' industrial park in Munster, IN, drinking some beers.  ;D  We met dudes from Delaware and Canada...I had no idea it was going to be such a big event!

I didn't have golden tickets to buy a bottle of the Dark Lord, but we were able to try it there and it was very, very good.  Thick like motor oil, sweet like molasses.  Great stuff.

I also tried their Rabbid Rabbit saison, Robert the Bruce Scotch ale, Pride & Joy mild ale, and some Founder's (don't remember which) that was in the guest brewing tent.

It was good times.  And a bunch of bands played, including Monotonix, who were crazy awesome and completely insane.

I'm still tired.   ;D

Sounds awesome, ALady!  My buddy saw Monotonix in Madison this past weekend.  I saw them a year or so ago.  They are definitely insane!  The band was all over the room, the singer was jumping on tables and screaming in people's faces, the freakin' drummer was being picked up by the crowd as he was playing, it was nuts.  My girlfriend set a beer on one of their LP's on their merch table, and needless to say, they didn't like it.  I asked to buy one of their records and they're like "why, so your stupid girlfriend can set her drink on it!"  i proceeded to show him my chest hair, and he did the same.  we had a stare-down, then I walked outside to smoke with a random stranger, and it was all good.  a good night.
We could.

I ordered a case of Schlafly IPA and it came in last week.  It is an English style IPA which is a little different for me, but I do like it.

I thought you might comment on this.  I enjoy most everthing that I have tried from Schlafly.  I have also been to Morgan Street Brewery and the Trailhead Brewery in St. Charles (hello, BH).  I preferred Trailhead over Morgan Street, personally.

Yep, Trailhead is better. I wonder if I will have some on Oct 3, YES (not so subtle hint).

I love going to Schlafly's Tap room. The food is great too.

I have not been to the tap room.  We usually end up in STL once a year or so.  I need to hook that up.

Yes you do. They have 2 places now. In downtownish and one out a little bit.

The O'Fallon 5 day IPA is really good as well! Very golden in presentation and fresh. From BH's hometown...

Went to Old Chicago today. All I could do is look at the list of the 100 beers. I forgot my ID. At what age will they stop carding me?
