Picked up some 90 minute and some Stone Rumination.  Heading to Destin for the weekend.  Expecting good times!

Sound like the perfect recipe.

I used to live on Okaloosa Island.  We are vacationing down there in July.

I have been through Gulf Breeze many times.  My good friend's wife is from Pcola and that is where they live.  They met one night we were hanging out at Seville Quarter.  Also, we used to hang out at this punk bar (Sluggo's?) and a techo place that was BYOB (Bedlam?).

Beautiful area.

I tried a bottle of Hop Czar this weekend.  One of my friends is in a beer of the month club and he doesn't care for the extreme hops.  I, therefore, reap the benefit.

Now this was interesting.  Dogfish Head Raison D'etre.  Brewed with, you guessed it, raisins.  I suggest trying it if you see it out and about.

I also had a sampler pack of Schlafly including the Kolsch, Pale Ale, and APA.  All were good.

DFH Raison is pretty interesting. One of my least favorite DFH brews though probably

I agree about it being on the lower end of my favorite DFH offerings.  That is one great brewery.

I really like the raison, but I like raisins in general.  dfh does some great shit and I would mark this brew among them.  Good stuff.

I also got the Schafly sampler for a Memorial Day cookout along with some Sam Adams Summer Ale and my cooler was pretty popular.

I know, right?  Dinner and dessert in a tiny bottle.

Getting into homebrew has deepened an already rich appreciation I have for beer.  This weekend I went to the LQ and picked up a bunch of stuff I've heard people raving about on internet forums and it's really  opened my eyes to what's out there.  The Rochefort brews are amazing!  At 6.50 per 12 oz BOTTLE they should be, but this shit is the real deal, bottled by trappist monks in Belgium.  I've also been trying a lot of stouts as I want to brew one of those in the near future.  So far my favorite is Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout.  Murphy's was no good in my opinion and dogfishhead's kalmazoo is a good imperial stout, which is what I'm sipping on right now.  Personally I'd added a little more hops to offset the taste of straight alcohol but after a few Belgium strong ales, I'm not complaining.

When someone says (or types) the words "oatmeal stout", the Sammy Smith is the first image I see because I drank a lot of it before I tried any other, really.  I don't know that they make a bad beer, honestly.  Taddy Porter, India Ale, Winter Welcome...

That Trappist LOOKS like the real deal.

Never tried the Kalamazoo.

Very tasty brew my buddy let me try out. Must be nice to get a keg for under $15 whenever you want.

I hope the Beer matched the glass style as that is so sweet...
