I'm just not a fan of fruit beers at all, so I like to pretend that I am superior to them.

;D  Awesome.

I tried these:

Bitches Brew - berry undertones, thick like molasses...yum
Burton Baton - really hoppy but not bitter, really drinkable
Punkin Ale - almost a dessert beer but quite light, lots of brown sugar
Theobroma - faint chocolaty flavor, couldn't really taste the chile
Sah'tea - so, so interesting and complex. Can't begin to explain.
Midas Touch - strong flavor of muscat grapes.  A little sweet to drink very much.
World Wide Stout - Mmmmotor oil.  18%.  Yes please.
Saison du Buff - wow, really herbal and complex.

And the 120 through the Randall.  Pretty cool.  The fresh hops cut the sweetness and added a really bright, herbal flavor.

Good times.   :)

Fall is in the air so I loaded up on some fall seasonals this weekend!

DFH Punkin
Sierra Nevada Tumbler
Bells Octoberfest

Oh and I found some Great Lakes Holy Moses which they stopped brewing at the end of July but my local beer store must have had some hidden away so I snactched up a couple of sixers!   8-)

BTW, Randall looks freaking awesome!

I'm not feeling fall yet.  It's still pretty hot here.  Although I did brew a clone of New Belgium's Hoptoberfest last weekend in preparation for Fall.  I'd also like to brew a Oktoberfest, Sweet Potato ESB, and a Pumpkin Ale in time for the season.  Fall has always been my favorite season.  Football, harvest, great time to brew, beatiful weather and scenery.  I'm looking forward to it!

Hmmmm.  Sweet Potato ESB sounds very intriguing.  I'm not a big sweet potato guy, but that sounds like something I would try.

I hear ya about fall as well.  For me it's a tossup between fall and spring as to my favorite seasons.  Love the colors of fall and of course football and the weather.  But spring brings its own colors as well as baseball and great weather after what is usuallly a long, cold winter here in NE Ohio.   8-)'

Love all of the fall seasonal beers as well!

The sweet potato is more for the color than the flavor.  I love sweet potatoes, but not much of the flavor will come through.  I was looking for a really orange beer because I got the idea to brew a Bengal Orange and Bengal Black brew to have on tap during football season.  I'm brewing the Black IPA today.

Oh, and my Cincinnati Red Ale should be ready in time for the playoffs.  :)

If I had the time or the money to homebrew, I would have to make a Cleveland Brown ale myself...  8-)  Also, I would have to figure out how to make a blue beer for my Wolverines!   ;)

I'm going to try to get some Bitches Brew tonite for a campfire. I heard it's earthy and dark, my favorite kind.

And the sweetness is what I hate about fruitbeers, which is my other problem with 120 min (and many belgians). I think Randall is the answer.

The other night it was

Weyerbacher Autumn Ale
Great Lakes Nosferatu
Terrapin Monk's Revenge Imperial Belgian IPA

Man o man a new liquor store opened up in my small town and its got a awesome beer selection. I've seen stuff there I've never seen before. Like a kid in a candy store. I went ahead and got some shiner boktoberfest. There was some kind that had a hunter s Thompson quote on it?
The time is near, to come forward with whatever killed your spark.

Winter is ale time.  My local has this on draught:

Very tasty.

Also had a couple of pints of this last night:

A bit lighter, but still a great pint.
The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

Had some of this last night. The server said it tasted like trees so I got a sample first but ended up getting a pint anyway.

Also had a Miles Davis Bitches Brew. Im not too big on stouts as Im not a malt guy, but this stuff was delicious and sweeter than I expected. Other beer I had was 21st Amendment Hop Crisis....Good stuff as well!  [smiley=beer.gif]
