I decided to go all college low budget flashback last weekend--PBR in cans (of course) and was delighted (being a beer snob and all ::)) that they didn't suck!
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

Hawkeye

Bought these brews at the Louisville Brew Store - both very good.  The John John ale packs a wallup and a nice, nutty flavor.

The Oregasmic Ale has a creamy, delicious head (coincidence?) and a hopaliciously smooth body.

We could.

I had a 6-pack of Bridgeport IPA over the weekend, and it was DEE-LISHUS.

Picked up a couple of sixers of Hopslam today!  I've been looking for this beer for two years now so it was somewhat ceremonial when I finally set down to drink one (and two and three).  Really good but I still LOVE Two Hearted Ale.  Best beer in the fuckin' world, as the anonymous T5'er would say.

4 is a good upper limit for me on the Slams. If I get into the 5-6 range I just about always go OOC... :D

I don't think it will be all bad news.  I'm hopeful about two things: 1, that it could mean they'll be able to bottle and distribute more of their specialty beers (the sours and Bourbon County Brand Stout variations especially) and 2, that it could mean we'll start seeing Goose Island at festivals/sporting events instead of the usual Bud/Miller.

Also, the former head brewer from Deschutes is coming on, and that is not a bad thing at all.
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

I like the Slam, but I just can't justify spending $18 a sixer for that stuff when you can get Two Hearted Ale for just $10 a sixer!  And I agree, Two Hearted is one of my favorite beers as well.  Sorry Ranger fans, while Ranger is good, IMO Two Hearted is a better IPA!  8)

Nice run! Looks like an awesome 2nd set!  8)

My father-in-law lives up north of Ft. Bragg a little ways, so the North Coast brewpub is a pretty frequent stop for us.

Different end of the state, but have you had many of the Green Flash Brewing Co. beers? Mighty tasty...

It is expensive.  I had never had it before and knew it was hard to come by, so I grabbed a couple.  I've actually seen it in two different stores since then.  Still haven't had Ranger yet.   New Belgium doesn't distribute to FL yet.

Yeah.  We don't get New Belgium in Ohio either.  I've got friends who have parents down in Cincy and they cross over to Indiana to pick me up Fat Tire and Ranger when they are down that way.  Plus, I always stock up when my wife and I visit Chicago!   8)

Just my opinion, but I've never been a fan of eel river. I lived up in that area for several years and drank some of their brews from time to time. I think it's allright but nothing special.

What did you think of the Black IPA? I always see it at my local bottle shop but I've never picked it up.
The wind blew me back, via Chicago, in the middle of the night.

If anyone may find themselves in Oakland, CA...do yourself a favor and stop by the Beer Revolution near Jack London Square.
