The Will Oldham movie? How was it? I'm waiting for that one on DVD....

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - Pretty darn funny, better than I expected.
I'm a huge Sacha Baron Cohen but he was def the worst thing about this movie. His French accent was shit!
Surprised to hear 3 Steve Earle tracks from I Feel Alright...

I kind of liked it, although it has been getting mixed reviews in the UK press. A lot of people are saying it is prententious and plaIN dull but I guess I was in the mood for it.

I read one review online that made me laugh as the girl who wrote was IT a native of Oregon (Portland) and she pointed out that the movie was factually incorrect as at one point Will or Daniel London is filling the car with gas themselves which is not permitted in the state.

Anyway, I've seen better indy US movies recently but this was worth the entrance fee.

Am seeing the ol' Bonnie Prince live in a couple of weeks so should be cool.

Cheers

I just finished watching Wet Hot American Summer.  Loved it as always.

Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter and David Wain cannot be beat.

Saw Little Man today. Oh fuck I love the Wayans brothers. Those guys are too funny!

Spinal Tap is a classic.
Funnily enough I was reading an article today about the NWOBHM & how Harry Shearer based his character on Saxon's bass player & how he followed them around on tour for a while before making the movie.

Apparently the hilarious scene where the roadie has to help Nigel Tufnel get up off the floor after playing his guitar solo really happened to Saxon's guitarist at London's Hammersmith Odeon in 1979.
Useless bit of trivia to impress Mum with at the diner table...

House of a Thousand Corpses--great stuff, now I wanna see The Devil's Rejects (maybe I'll just add both to my library).  Rob Zombie has become quite a director.
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

Mr. T.

I'm about to see "Sexy Beast" with Ben Kingsley  :)
