Good call on Let the Right One In. Great movie. The remake was decent as well but doesn't stand up to the Swedish original. Other good South Korean films would include Mother, The Host, A Tale of Two Sisters & The Good, the Bad, & the Weird (not awesome but worth viewing)

Thanks for the list CC, haven't seen any of these yet.

I've seen all those. I Saw The Devil, the vengeance trilogy, and Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring along with the others previously mentioned I think are all the Korean movies I've seen.

some of my korean favorites, besides the ones mentioned:

Save The Green Planet
A Bittersweet Life
The City of Violence
The Quiet Family
Git (Feathers in the Wind)
Flower Island
Tale of Cinema
Chunhyang
Sopyonje

Thanks for the list CC, haven't seen any of these yet.

Netflix (i still do the dvd's in the mail) had most of these. Here's what i saw and how i'd rate them, from favorite to least:

Oasis -  This one wasn't on your list, but I found it on netflix somehow and then thought that was one you recommended. My favorite of this bunch, a masterpiece.
Chunhyang - Excellent
Flower Island - Very good but didn't get some of it.
The City of Violence - liked this a lot more than I thought i would, the breakdancing fighters had me sold.
The Quiet Family - decent , not as good as Jee-woon Kim's other films but it was his first and it felt like a debut
Save the Green Planet - This was the first out of these i watched, don't remember everything about this as it's been a few months now. It had it's moments but wasn't too enthused.

About to watch Park Chan-Wook's I'm a Cyborg, but that's OK now....

p.s. Star Wars was good, could've been better but definitely could've been a lot worse. Had a major spoiler revealed to me from just simply looking at a completely irrelevant post on ESPN's facebook page, what the fuck is wrong with people?
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Not cool about the random spoiler you saw ManNamed.  I hope you're doing well up in the 'Burgh this winter with a healed foot ready for the next tour.   I thought Star Wars was great but I didn't go in with the highest expectations.  Spotlight was an outstanding movie!  See it.

The Revenant - I'd be surprised if it doesn't at least get nominated for best picture this year.

I give DiCaprio an A+
I give the overall movie a B-

Finder's Keepers

Excellent documentary on an interesting true story that you have to see to believe.

A quick take of Star Wars VII The Force Awakens...

Its as much a remake of the original trilogy as a sequel.  Nice to return to the look and feel of the original trilogy, to see Harrison Ford steal the movie, to see Oscar Isaac continue his great work.  Good doses of humor, looked great, deserves the hype and box office gold.  Its not perfect, but it rinses the bad taste left in my mouth from the prequel trilogy.  A-

I watched Wild again over the weekend. Saw it in the movies last year and loved it. Loved it again on TV. Great movie, true story, everyone should see it!!

The Revenant was great, maybe about 10 minutes too long due to some of the mystic/surreal scenes but the opening scene is one of the best you will ever seen shot.

Extremely graphic & violent so know that going in

All is well on my end thanks for asking! Foot has been fine a couple weeks after surgery, no setbacks. Looking forward to seeing more dates announced, you should come back up for the next Pittsburgh show. I'll check out that movie when it's on netflix. Still need to get to the theater for The Revenant and Hateful Eight (could've seen the 70mm version but didn't quite have the time to make it out) .

Appropriate warning about the violence.  The movie is phenomenal!  I didn't think it was too long.  This is something worth seeing in the theater due to some incredible scenes and scenery.

The Hateful Eight
I love all of Quentin Tarantino's movies (I hope he's got at least one or two more in him).
This one is quite good, but not one of his very best (any of Quentin's movies are better than the average movie out these days).
My brother ranks it in 6th place out of all of his 8 movies (Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 considered one movie). I might agree but may place it at 7 out of 8 (like Jackie Brown more than my brother does).

hasn't he stated before that he plans on only making 10 movies?

I had seen an interview with him that made it sound like he was only going to do a couple more movies (maybe 10 in total, like you say). I think he is aware of his film legacy and doesn't want to diminish what he's done so far with some less-than-exemplary work. I absolutely love all he has ever put out. Reservoir Dogs is my favorite movie of all time, hence, the username of "Mr. White" - Harvey Keitel's character.

Ranking Quentin movies is like ranking my morning jacket albums.
They are all great, but up for opinion on how one likes 1 over the others ...
So in my opinion:
1- Pulp Fiction
2- Reservoir Dogs
3- Kill Bill (1&2)
4- Inglorious Bastards
5- The Hateful Eight
6- Djano Unchained
7- Jackie Brown
8- Death Proof (Grindhouse)

I saw Room on Friday night. It was awesome. Edge of your seat at some moments, crying at other moments, incredible acting, especially by the little boy. Definitely go see this!!!

Went again to the movies Saturday and saw Brooklyn. Very good movie also. Really liked it!

For this year I'm saying Spotlight is my #1. Room #2. Me, Earl and the Dying Girl and Brooklyn tied for #3

Other tops would be The Big Short, Black Mass and The Martian was real good too.

Lately I think I like the two Kill Bills best.

Always hated that flick, great acting by Lewis for sure, but the plot really never did anything for me and seemed pretty simple for the praise it got.
