Animals has always been a personal favorite (sadistic Waters) yet last night listening to Meddle (not for the first time) I am astounded by its beauty and may have to jump ship. Its just so soothing, anybody else love this album, and all their other works. What would you say is your favorite?

Wish You Were Here is my favorite. I love Animals too though. Never heard Meddle.

Animals has always been my favorite, Meddle is a very underrated album and "Fearless" is one of the best Floyd songs nobody knows about.

The most (sadistic Waters) Floyd album has to be The Final Cut, also a fav. of mine!

It's a three way tie between these but if you make me chose I guess I would rank them like this:

The Final Cut
Obscured By Clouds
Meddle

Dark Side should be considered but I think I just have about wore it out.  The two soundtrack albums, Obscured By Clouds and More are must purchases for Floyd fans in my opinion.    The live album from Umma Gumma is also a great one that I try to push on people all the time.  Unfortunately you have to buy the studio album to get it.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

I love the 2004 version of The Final Cut  that has "When The Tigers Broke Free" as a bonus track, it fits in perfectly!

Agreed!  I always wanted a copy of that track anyway.  It is a little wierd after listening to that album without it about a thousand times, but it is amazing how well it fits on there.   I think it would have fit well on the Wall somewhere too.   Do you have Waters' Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking?  If you love The Final Cut, I think you will dig it.

I had a copy years ago, really it's the only solo Waters cd I liked. I also thought that when I first got it, but as we said it fits like it was written for it. I think it was left off The Wall, or maybe recoded later just  for the movie soundtrack.

Almost all of PF's albums are great. I even like 'More'. My current favourite album is 'Meddle' though. Can't beat a sidelong "Echoes".  8-)
I'm not trying to be mysterious about it, it's just that what I do is tough to explain.

I'm surprised by all the love for Animals, which has always been my favorite - it seems like it was the least regarded by the press and others, but obviously differently by the fans.

If I had to rank my favorites in order, I think it would go something like:
1- The Wall
2- Animals
3- Wish You Were Here
4- DSOTM
5- Meddle
I just love the Floyd too much to rank them, so scratch this list... lol.  It's like each day I am in the mood for a different style of Floyd (sometimes Wish You Were Here, sometimes Animals, and others times Piper At The Gates of Dawn).
I just last night watched my Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii DVD as a matter of fact.  I NEVER get tired of the smoking version of "Echoes" on this.

As for Roger solo... Pros and Cons is an excellent record, but I think Amused to Death is also VERY underrated.

It's funny that a few other people have mentioned it being a tossup between Meddle and Animals, but I stand right in that same boat...

ditto.  Radio Kaos is the only one that doesn't do much for me.
