Love the Black Angels and Black Mountain.  I think a Black Angels late night show at the Roo would be fairly badass.

i've only heard the black angels album with bloodhounds on my trail and sniper at the gates of hell and what not, but bloodhounds on my trail is one of the most badass songs in my library.

I'd be so down with Bruce as a headliner.  I lucked into some crazy good seats to see him last year, and he still puts on a helluva show.  

Who knows the Killers might have decided to fellate the entire music industry like Jack Johnson did last summer and get themselves as a headliner on every festival possible

they epitomize everything i hate about music--! do they even play instruments? when they first came out, all these UK festivals wanted them to headline and they couldn't because they didn't have enough songs...you'd think they could play the whole album and do some covers? no, they couldn't do it because they didn't know any other songs...they are awful. i HATE them. if someone says they like they, they automatically lose credibility w/me. EVEN if they have all the verve's b-side collection;


so far i've heard ben harper, bruce, phish, grace potter, derek trucks, allman bros, the dead.

What if MMJ and Grace Potter were there.  Jim and Grace doing a duet of Golden during one of the if you happen to see it shows.  That would be pretty cool!

was it in 2006 jim came out w/Bright Eyes and the guy from Super Furry Animals and Gillian Welsh? I was dissappointed in that show but it was awesome at the end. i didn't appreciate it at the time but what a show.  (or was that 2005)

And the SFA guy's name is Gruff. How can you forget that? Gruff Rhys or something.

My biggest surprise of most unexpectedly awesome show from 'roo '06 had to be Seu Jorge.

I've ventured in to the thread a few times and...wow.  Agree the scavenger hunt thing could be fun, but I don't have the patience for it this year (especially after learning that last year's clue about the "Chairman of the Board after the birthday party" referred to Ben Folds.  As in folds up chairs after a party.)  Huh?  

February 3 can't get here fast enough.
