What did you guys think about the new song after Easy?
Liked it a lot.  At first I thought it sounded like some older Deer Tick song that I just wasn't familiar with.  I've given it a few listens and I really dig it.  One of JM's greatest strengths IMO is his ability to come up with phenomenal lyrics.  I need to really flesh out the two new songs here to see if they measure up!

Does anyone know how to record audio off the internet?  I would love a copy of this.  Ain't every day you get some listenable live Deer Tick ya know.

I'm typically not one drawn to a band because of their lyrics but I do love JM's.  I think I like the second song a little better but overall enjoyed both.  It's just ridiculous what a prolific song writer he is.  I hope they put out some other random EP soon such as Tim.

In response to your question, I use the Firefox add on You tube Enhancer.  I'm sure there are others but I find this one to be great.  It blocks all ads and you can download in mp3 and various video formats.

Here's the unsplit mp3 file of the London show.  Nice to have live Deer Tick to listen to, particularly when there are two new songs.

Thanks for this, Rob.  I'm stuck with no Deer Tick on the ole work laptop.  Thankfully, sendspace downloads sneak past firewalls; no such luck with mediafire.

This is an exceptional recording.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

If you're a member of Daytrotter, today's session is Deer Tick, and you can download it for free.  Membership is only $2/month and there are tons of cool bands/downloads every month.  A great way to check out new bands (many in this sort of alt-country-ish vein.)

If you don't want a membership, you can just listen for free (but not download.)

Fuck. Would love to be at the 12/12 show. I LOVE black dirt. But alas, I can't go. I really need to hear When She Comes Home live some day. :undecided:

Not to mention Holy Shit, It's Christmas!  I love that song.  I wonder if my in-laws would care if it came on the Christmas shuffle this year??

Me and Penny Lane are going to the DT shows at Brooklyn Bowl.  Who wants to join us?

was some shakin' and some record playin'

Murph

I have to coordinate my work schedule, but I'll definitely be going to at least 1 or 2 of these, hopefully all of them

Murph

Think they'll sell out soon?? I'd rather hold off a few days on buying tickets

Penny Lane

i bought ind'l tix for nights 1 and 2 and then the (thanks, brooke) MGR of the Brooklyn Bowl sent out an email saying TicketNow would refund and we could purchase the 3 day pass (only $47!).

Most likely going to all 3. Very very happy!!~ Complained (mostly to Ruckus and HH) that i hadn't seen DT in 2012 and now it's 4 times in Dec!
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

I would love to see the Black Dirt Sessions night.  That's my favorite DT album by a mile, though I think I'm in the serious minority in that opinion.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

My favorite band going right now.  You can't go wrong with chronological order of all their full lengths.  I'm partial to their first two bu. others would beg to differ.
Go War Elephant then anywhere else after that
