I forgot to post this yesterday but their "new" EP is out.  It's got Virginia Gal (the special CD from the Divine Providence package), an acoustic Main Street, and 3 other songs.  Why Walls and Born at Zero didn't make Divine Providence is beyond me.

agreed.  given that these songs came from the same sessions that produced Divine Providence, it's hard to understand how some of these didn't make it over some that did (specifically tracks 8 - 11 all all skippers IMO)

I'll say it again.  Walls, Born on Zero, and Virginia Gal should have all made the cut on DP.  I don't know what I'd cut though.  Probably 10-11 just to keep it pretty rock n' roll all the way through.  I think Make Believe is my guilty pleasure.  It reminds me of Bon Jovi and that's a good thing. 8)  Had the 3 EP songs been swapped in for the above mentioned and maybe the Ian song or Let's All Go to the Bar (which I love live), DP would have been in my top 5 from last year instead of being just another album from one of my favorite bands.

I bet the Carnegie Hall show is going to be a trip.  Can't wait to hear all about it.  While I'm a fan of the drunken buffoonery and am the lucky recipient of a smashed guitar part, it's nice to hear they're toning it down a bit.  I'm sure their livers will be thanking them.
