10 night run at the Great American Music Hall in SF.  This is what I'm hearing.

I just gotta say we need to be all in if there's another hometown Louisville show. It's a "bucket list" must for all forum members, imo.

That show at the Yum was ultra special, and I'll definitely be there for any and all future "Ville" shows.

They've never played NH (I don't believe).  How about Concord's Capitol Center for the Arts?  Too small?  How about Manchester's Verizon Center?  Yeah?  Cool!  See you there.

I am guessing there will be some Texas stops this tour. SXSW or Austin in the spring.

That would be awesome...not least because I already have that trip booked  ;D but those '08 SXSW shows were some of my all-time favorites.

And Bright Eyes is already going to be there, so maybe they could throw in a MOF set too.

I don't really think we'll get a Louisville show in '11, but if we do I hope its Headlining Forecastle, or just a Waterfront show in general. Also I hope this tour gets a string of southern shows too that I can hit a couple of. Also I'm going to Waka so I know I'll see them at least once!
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Since Im in Charlotte I hope they come here as they've never played here, but did play Raleigh last year.

However, I am gonna go out on a limb right now and predict that MMJ will headline the Nateva fest in ME, which sounded like a blast last year.  I will def be there if they do, my old stomping grounds and tons of friends up by Sunday River.

That'd be cool.  I haven't been to Oxford since the Grateful Dead did two shows with Little Feat in the late 80s.

i wish they'd do another prom !!

OK, I am now officially recalling my prediction from my previous post and changing it to..."I predict they will headline the Gathering of the Vibes... ;)

What about Mountain Jam?  I want to go to one of those East Coast fests this year.

I also wonder if they'll play Lolla.  I'd guess they'd be a smaller headliner there by now.

THIS JUST IN!

Waterloo Village, the place down the street from me growing up that apparently had incredible shows that I was always too young to attend, is trying to get back in the game. They just need some money to help get back on their feet and re-open to the public (it's also a historic site).

If Phish can play there, so can MMJ!

This would seriously be like saying MMJ is playing at my (parents) house! My (parents) house!

Wondering what's everyone's thoughts on a potential 2011 tour to showcase the new album. I'm sure they'll hit up some of the major festivals, but as a native of New Orleans I'm just hoping for a stop here in NO. With the Saenger re-opening up sometime this year (Katrina damage), I cannot think of a better place to catch a MMJ show. Legendary venue, legendary show.

Thoughts, comments, discussion on other stops or venues?

I'm in NoLa too and while they're probably not coming back to the Fest, I'm hoping that they play down here again soon.  Saenger would be great, but it doesn't seem like there's any work being done.  How crazy would a benefit show at Tip's be?  ;D

Show at Tip's would be insane. I don't care care where in the city they play, hope they just make a stop. Very glad to see MMJ's attachment to NO after their work this year (Jim's work on PH CD, Jazzfest, Dear New Orleans benefit, Voodoo) because it's been years since they last played in NO.

Also, ever seen the show posters for any of MMJ's NO shows in 2010? I looked everywhere and came across nothing. Just assumed no artist stepped up to make one.

check this site out: http://www.flyrightstudios.com/

scroll down halfway and theres a BTE/MMJ poster with nice little seahorsies on it. that's all i've found for their 2010 shows in NOLA. I bought one, it's real cheap and the artist signs it.

To keep this on topic: New Orleans @ Mahalia Jackson or (even better) the Saenger I could definitely see hapnin' if they come to the Big Easy again! In all likelihood, I think there will be a lot of midwest and west coast dates. I'm thinkin a red rocks run?? My main question is how many out of country stops will they make....

EDIT: it's going to be Circuital Tour 2011, and they're going to travel in a circle and play every border town/beachfront venue in the continental US. yessss
