Action Bronson says Blue Chips 2 will be released "on the first day of rainfall in November"

Hahaha

I also like the tracklist with Rolling Thunder "feat Legendary Special Guest In Which We Can't Disclose." Kool G Rap or Nas maybe?

Killer track. I can relate to Pusha T's sinus problems. Everything else is a trip to another world for me.

"Legendary special guest" was supposed to Camron but apparently that fell through

It's good. He's one of the few rappers that makes me lol with some of the stuff he says.

subinai

It's fucking great, such a party album. Some of the samples are ridiculous

Haha our tastes are too similar. 90s hip hop is also my wheelhouse. It's harder to find good hip hop these days, but if you dig theres good stuff out there. Here are my favorite hip hop LPs of 2013 thus far.

1. Qwel & Maker

2. Run the Jewels (el-p and killer mike)
3. 7 GEMS- Golden Era Music Sciences (Tragedy is part of this, he's still got it)
4. The Doppelgangaz- Hark (not as stellar as their last 2, but solid)
5. First Light- Fantasy Fallacy
6. Ka- Night's Gambit (Doom fans should like this, tight laid back flow)
7. Billy Woods- Dour Candy (Blockhead laced this)
8. Ugly Heroes (Apollo Brown laced this one)
9. uMaNg- The Revisited (check it on bandcamp, good punchlines)
10. Castle- Gasface (mellow music group puts out so many dope albums)

Just missing the cut are Phora, Epidemic, Def Dee, Ghostface, Seven Star. Good year IMO.
Best hip hop album I've heard in a long, long time and I know for a fact that it will finish as my album of the year (not just hip hop) and it's not even close.  Fuck!

Hoooooooo boy, Oxymoron by Schoolboy Q is BANGIN'!! I had sky high hopes for this record and it is not disappointing.

Northern Neighbour

Young Fathers' self-titled album is excellent. I highly recommend it, although I'm not exactly a big hip hop guy.  Granted, Young Fathers' album is a mix of hip hop, rap, rock, and other genres, which probably explains why I like it so much.

Anyone else hear that Madlib and Freddie Gibbs album yet? It's pretty great. Two more albums for the heads.

I can't stop playing the new Cormega album. Large Pro really hooked up the production and Cormega did it justice.
