didn't really know where else to put this:

Diamonds into Call Me Al, Paul Simon Hangout Fets, Gulf Shores AL, 5-22-11

one of the top 5 musical moments of my life. Right up there with the bear --> steam at red rocks or the dark side of the moon at red rocks.

ya know, this is really the best part about music festivals to me. the legends are there that I see just because they're legends. artists i usually wouldnt see at their own show, then they end up being the best concerts ever. Paul Simon at Hangout, Stevie Wonder at Bonnaroo. Jay-Z at Bonnaroo, Toots and the Maytals at Wakarusa.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

I just discovered a whole new world to investigate! Can anyone on here tell me more about Doug Sahm?

Sir Douglas Quintet - Mendocino [HD video / Good(+) picture quality] (Live, 1969)

A guy I used to work with told me there's a great album of Mr. Sahm with Dylan "& friends" somewhere... I've been meaning to look that up!

I was listening to Curl of the Burl yesterday. Love it! My only issue with it is that it had no magical healing powers on that sinus headache! But your suggestion of mucinex did the trick about six hours after I took it. I really enjoy this band.

The four tops - Bernadette

Levi Stubbs is unbelievable on this one.
Nice choice Bbill, one of my fav vocal performances that still kills me every time I hear it!
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

Absolutely no idea how I missed this all year...

Former members of Sleater-Kinney and a couple others sprinkled in. Awesome to hear an all-female band that KICKS some ass on a guitar-driven album.

What a coincidence! I've been listening to this band for the past day. Racehorse is amazing! I've found a new love!!!

buaawwww

At this VERY moment?  The live version of "Pushit" from Tool's "Salival" album.  Just ridiculous.

BJM is excellent. If you ever get a chance to see them live do so. You never know what version of Antone you'll get: On top of his game musically Antone or he's a total fucking flake and starts fight with the club owner and fans Antone. See the movie Dig!! It's a great look at BJM and the Dandy Warhols.
