does anyone know if there is any camping real close to RR??  I found one place thats about 3 miles away.  Looking to see if there are any places walking distance from a camp site to the concert.
There is no camping within walking distance to Red Rocks. The other thing you need to know about Red Rocks is you plan on drinking you need to have a designated driver or hire a limo service. There is no cab service or buses that go to Red Rocks. There are only two roads in and they close the roads to inbound traffic half way through the show. I've lived in Denver my whole life and seen a ton of shows at Red Rocks. We got first row of reserved seating so we don't have to worry about getting there early for GA. You don't need to get there super early for a good seat in GA. An hour or two before the doors open and you'll be fine. You can go into the park early and hike around, bike, tailgaite or whatever. Its a fun place to check out. If the forecast calls for rain be prepared and dress for weather thats 20 degrees colder than what it feels like outside. Hope you guys have fun. My wife and I are super psyched. We got tix for RR, Edgefiled and Seattle.

Tailgating at Red Rocks is outstanding, and don't believe that mess on their website about not allowing alcoholic beverages. I think I'm going to be in line to get in pretty early though...

I'm definitely going to hit some breweries while I'm there. I may try to get the "insiders" tour.  If any of you wanna come along, let me know.  I plan on spending about 5 days out there.  A ball game sounds good too!

I like the way you think!  ;)

I checked TM last night for Friday night Rockie tix, and there are $60.00 club seats between home plate and 1st base available, all the way down to $4.00 seats way out in the rock pile!

Depends on how much $ you want to spend for a seat, but there were some pretty decent ones in the $30.00 range too.

As for Breweries, I'm in for those too.

I want in on those "insider" brewery tours, you professional, you! Friday may be a good day for that, and a Rockies game on Saturday. Good thing I'm going to be there all week, the schedule is filling up.  :D

Lots of good hiking around and close to the cabin, and Estes Park is about 30 minutes north. The Shining hotel is in Oregon -- the Stanley Hotel that inspired it is in Estes.

The Shining House is in Estes Park, 1 hour north of Denver.  And Rocky MNT NP has some good hiking, it will be very crowded around this time.

Also, some breweries i prefer.

Great Divide (downtown denver)
Dry Dock (Aurora se metro area
Strange Brewing (Denver)
Oskar Blues (tap house or restaurant Both in Longmont)
LeftHand (Longmont)
Avery (Boulder)
New Belgium (ft collings)
Odells (ft Collings)

Most all of these are tap house.  Most of these places serve limited food options, if any at all.  And there are a bunch more brew pubs in Denver, i just prefer these and there beer.

Can one of you crafty people make a t-shirt with some sort of beautiful sunset image with the boys silhouettes against it? They're playing in such awesome locations this year it's the JacketFestWest: Beautiful Scenery Tour.

I'm down for hiking, brewery, frisbee, whatever.
Cow temperature.

Just did the same,so count me in, and add me to the Flaming Lips/Primus roll call.

My daughter really likes Primus, said they are really good live, and don't really tour that much. She said they tend to stay out West, and wants to know if she can fit in my suitcase. ;)
