does anybody know what the KBCO presale is?   i have friends that are going to try to get some GA tix and I noticed there is another presale this morning.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

LOL love how my name was on this roll call list before I even knew I was going.  Sending warm thoughts to my crazy sister for biting this bullet and making the decision for me.  So stoked!  :)

T5 renunion part deux?  Loving this!

warm thoughts? gee, thanks. ::)  as the older opposite of irish twins twin - i know what's best for you.  of course you're on the list! ;D  so, does this mean you are DEF coming?  we need to talk, asap.

really hoping that airfare drops bc i'd love to join in on those other activities.  flaming lips/primus on wed, hiking... bar tours - yes please!  and maybe i'll even go to my 1st ever baseball game  :-X

if anyone gets shut out of GA, or wants RES tix, i have a pair - row 26.  i'd prefer them to go to a forum person in need.  PM me if interested, otherwise i'm gonna put them up in the buy/sell tix thread.  First come first served, of course.

edit: the RES tix found a good home :)

If we're all down for Rockies on Saturday should we get seats together?  I'm down. I'm good with cheap seats, but I can swing the good stuff too.

I asked my boss what micorbreweries I should go to while in Colorado and he said to check out the microbrewery at the Stadium. Doesn't get talked about a lot but really good, he said.  They serve the original recipe for Blue Moon.  So I'm definitely going to catch a game that weekend.

Brew tours on Friday sounds good. We could "brew hop" in Boulder or Fort Collins.

cheap seats are better for me, too..
if people are really interested, i could probably get the tix (so Sat?)

I'm in for the sat. game and will sit wherever is good for everyone else. We don't have to sit in the best seats, but maybe not the cheapest either?  I've never been there, only seen games on tv, but that Rock Pile @ $4.00 per ticket looks like it could be in another county. ;)

Rockpile seats are damn near in Boulder, other outfield seats are available in the $20-35 range, infield will be > $35.

I just bought two GA on the KBCO sale, and paid $100.05 after all charges, so I could get them mailed to me. I am curious what 2 GA total cost yesterday.

I also in a group with 4 season tickets to the Rockies.  We divided the games earlier in the week, and I don't have the Friday nor Saturday game, but I can trade a game(s) I don't like for seats nearby on either of those days. These are the first rows in the upper deck behind home plate. My cost is $21 per ticket. I might get a few others in my pool to sell me their "bad games" to trade if you guys and gals are serious about this and need a bunch.  We can decide this much later in the summer and get a list put together.

I like all the touring ideas. When I have friends visit I always say "Be sure to see Red Rocks" but you all will have that covered! BTW there is a cool museum inside Red Rocks which shows it's history and lots of displays and photos of the acts that have performed.

If you guys are serious about brewery tours, this is a great deal:

http://www.coloradobrewtours.com/

They'll pick you up anywhere in the Denver area, cart you around to five different breweries, and drop you off.  It's an eight-hour deal and the price includes all tastings and tours.

There's a Groupon for it that comes up occasionally too, for $89 (for two people).  I'll keep an eye out.

http://www.groupon.com/denver/deals/colorado-brew-tours-denver

Here's a list of the breweries they visit; I'd pick the bolded   ;)

Adolph Coors, Anheuser Busch, Avery, Boulder Beer, Breckenridge, Brewery, Bristol Brewing Co, Bull & Bush Brewery, Carver Brewing Co, CB & Potts, Coopersmiths, Crabtree Brewery, Del Norte Brewing Co, Dillon Dam, Dry Dock Brewing Co, Durango Brewing Co, Fort Collins Brewery, Golden City Brewery, Grand Lake Brewing Co, Great Divide Brewery, Grimm Brothers Brewery, Left Hand Brewing Co, New Belgium Brewing, North Star Brewery, Odell Brewing Co, Oskar Blues Brewery, Pints Pub, Pumphouse Brewery, Sandlot Brewery, Strange Brewing Co, Tivoli Union, Tommyknocker Brewery ,Twisted Pine, Upslope, Wynkoop Brewing, and Equinox

Sounds great to me! I like your picks too but I prefer with Odell over Great Divide.

There's not much I prefer over Great Divide these days.  Simply outstanding brewery.

A brew tour i do a couple times a year is the Boulder/Longmont tour.

Usually start at Oskar Blues eatery for lunch (they have all there taps plus a great selection of visiting taps).

Then just across the parking lot is Oskar Blues tap house/brewery Tasty Weasel.

Then hit up Lefthand, which is about a mile away.  I like their core beers, but really enjoy there limited release/pub exclusives.

Then on to Boulder and hit up Avery.

Avery, Oskar, and Lefthand are extreme brewers, high abv and very tasty.  Pace yourself.

If you can still function after these 3 breweries then i would recommend Twisted Pine and Boulder Beer Co. (both in Boulder) which are off the beating path far away from pearl st and all offer great beer.

If you do decide to hit these joins, do your research as most of these are no food, beer only pubs and have hours that are different from bars (ie close early)

Can one of you crafty people make a t-shirt with some sort of beautiful sunset image with the boys silhouettes against it? They're playing in such awesome locations this year it's the JacketFestWest: Beautiful Scenery Tour.

I'm down for hiking, brewery, frisbee, whatever.

Some minor changes to the one I made for outside lands and it looks like this:

Dunno if it's anything like what you had in mind, but it was such a quick fix so I thought I'd give it a shoot! :) At first I had some trees in there as well, if you'd like some trees ;)

I huess our decision isn't going to be made on this show till August, Carling is in practicum all summer so we're not sure if shw can get the time off. Really hope to head down for this show especially if so many forum folk are going to be there. Don't count us in yet but don't count us out either.

Not to rub it in guys...but I got front row seats for Red Rocks.  I kinda wish I didn't have them because I wanna party with all the peeps...but then again, I get to see MMJ from like 12 feet away at Red Rocks!  I couldn't turn it down.

I'm gonna make a flag for the event.  Look for me.

This is gonna be my 20th show...

Also, I have lots and lots of friends in Denver - if anyone is broke and needs a place to crash with me, hit me up!  I can't wait for this shit! If any of you guys have never been to Red Rocks, prepare for a magical night.

God damn those shaky knees.

How did you score 1st row?  It is usually consider GA and reserved for handicap fans and there guest.

Crispy

I think he may be referring to the VIP section that is actually on stage and to the sides. Mr. Funky?

Edit: Unless they will have the lowest rows roped off...I really hope that's not the case.

Well, I met this chick at Mike Gordon in Telluride a couple of weeks ago. She's a die hard Phish/Yonder/MMJ fan.  anyway, we got to talking about Jim James and all of his awesomeness and eventually became friends, took some acid and ran around Telluride like a bunch of goof balls all night.  Next morning we joke about meeting up down the road for some shows - she flys back to San Diego and I don't hear from her until this last Saturday when I get a call from some weird number. I pick it up and it's this chick that I met in Telluride telling me to sell my GA tickets because one of their "Yonder" friends is also apart of Red Rocks lawyering firm and this firm gets like 10 front row tickets to every show.  She tells me that she's gonna fly in for the show and she wants to party down with me and my girl friend.  Boooo YEAH!  Good things come to those who wait.
