Well I'm kind of glad I passed on this, I would definitely leave on Sunday morning.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Angelo

Yeah Sunday isn't looking too hot for me either. I wouldn't mind catching Autumn Defense and even OS but there is a good chance we leave early Sunday. Regardless, 2 Wilco shows plus a nice looking lineup on Saturday, all in the Berkshire Mountains, make it all worth while.

Jeff tweedy is featured on Jeff garland's (from curb your enthusiasm) new podcast 'By the Way, In Conversation'....Haven't listened yet but listened to both Larry David and Lena Dunham eps...Jeff is so freakin funny and genuine. I'm sure the interview with Tweedy can't miss. It's available free on iTunes
Oh, I will dine on honey dew And drink the Milk of Paradiseeeee

I hear you about Sunday.  But for the faithful, it looks awesome.  A whole day of Wilco side projects (not to mention Tweedy's son's band) capped off with Hidalgo/Ribot and MMW.  Sign me up!  Plenty of time to check out the galleries that I missed Saturday because of all the killer music that day.  And if the place does clear out, that means more room to stretch out.  No complaints here.

I am in this camp, Sunday looks pretty fucking sweet to me. Speaking of camping, anybody planning on doing that? I'm considering it, since I can deal with those northern-type temperatures and a less refugee camp-style size.

Me and my crew are staying at Savoy Mountain State Forest Campground, up in the highlands, about a 15 minute drive. Sweet, sweet campground, with a pond for swimming, some great grassy sites, stars to die for.   We've camped there each year, and this year have 4 sites for our group.   http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/western/svym.htm

The Historic Valley campground is in town, much closer and much more convenient, but not quite as nice (still a great option though).  We stayed there for the FreshGrass Festival last September.   http://camping.northadams-ma.gov/

You can't go wrong with either one.

As expected, friends who stayed in Solid Sound camping were not nearly as happy as we were.

bigloop just mentioned it, but me and my friend have a tent site at Historic Valley campground.  $32 for the weekend, and about 1.6 miles from the fest (about a 30 min. walk).

Mention my name or site (Wild 1-3) when you contact to reserve and they can put us near each other.  I suppose you could join our site, too, as its just two of us.  We can bring gear and save you some luggage.  And let me know if you need a ride to/from airports.

Right on, thanks! I already sent a request and will name-drop you when they get back to me and get a spot close by. At this point I'm planning to do a big-ass road trip for the deal, so I should be good on gear. Bring your horseshoes!

Damn, a good 3000 mile adventure, there and back.  Sounds like fun.  You've got a lot of choices mid-way- Chicago, Indy, Louisville.  Stop in Cleveland for the R&R HoF.  Niagara Falls.  Cool.

Sweet! I'm going to ask for One Big Holiday, just to see the look on Tweedy's face.

In other news, I heard back from the campground you're staying at, and they're all booked up! Do you think it'd be okay to fit another tent in your site? No problem if not, I still have other options.

You're more than welcome to join us!  We may just have to park one of our cars by their office.  Don't see anything about tent limits per site (campground policies), plus I can bring a larger, "family-size" tent if need be.  Might be good to have regardless.

Great, thanks, man! A communal tent would be nice for hanging out, plus I have an awning/shelter thingy that attaches to the side of an SUV, and a wee tent for myself, because you surely don't want to be sharing that space during sleepy time.
