HOBM undoubtedly needs to be sitar-ized. what possibilities!!!

Between the omnichord and this thing, hopefully they've got our Hypnosis Series near completion  ;D

The Young Guns - Five players under 40 taking guitar heroics to new places

Gary Clark Jr.

John Mayer

Jim James - James and his counterpart Carl Broemel are the twin-guitar heart of My Morning Jacket: on live favorites like "I'm Amazed," their intertwined parts revive Seventies-rock grandeur.  And unlike their peers, they're not afraid to unleash sprawling, old-school solos.

I just came to post that they're #3. Have to say it kind of upsets me that out of all the incredible new music of 2011, Fleet foxes got #2. I was happy to see wilco, MMJ, and middle brother in the top 10, as those are my 3 favorite.

Am I crazy or did I not see iron and wine in there?
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Iron & Wine is #12.   Good list in general, IMO.

headhunter

good list in general  BUT

imo (humble or not)  no list is complete without including both Go Go Boots by Drive-By Truckers and Here We Rest by Jason Isbell.

Both of those make my top 10

Hayes Carll KMAG YOYO should also be in there.

and maybe i just don't get it but bon iver puts me to sleep.
was some shakin' and some record playin'

Uncut magazine has MMJ listed at #35. I was disappointed to see that Q magazine didn't even list Circuital. However, no one ever completely agrees with these lists. They are purely arbitrary.

A recent review of Circuital, fairly excellent but for misplaced criticism of earlier albums.
