There are tons of GREAT seats available for this show, including the pit. I checked, and seats BETTER than my Roll Call seats are still available. If you are going, or have friends in the Central Coast who are not familiar with them, pressure them to see what they are missing! Lets not embarrass the boys!

This show was poorly planned, logistically speaking. A second show within about 10 days in the same/bordering geographic market. Not to mention a good number of people who would normally attend a sb show are at high sierra for the weekend (myself).  I think being announced so late, after the LA show and after high Sierra are hurting ticket sales, that place would be packed if it was scheduled better.

Southern California to Canada back to Southern California back to Canada in less than two weeks.

I'm just hoping for a close setlist to the Oakland show (PWW, O is the One, and Dondante).

I think the song choices/order should be different since alot of the same people going to the show already went to The Pantages.

indeed, and under most circumstances I would be right there with you on the highway.  But, High Sierra is somewhat of a tradition for us (this year is my 10th or 11th), and we bring all 3 kids to the fest.  The kids LOVE high sierra, and really look forward to it...they're so excited right now.  There's no way I could pack the whole fam up and bail the fest to make SB (as much as I really want to).

Maybe so, but there is a large university, and also a quite large community college. Cal Poly SLO is almost local, and Ventura/Oxnard is a pleasant drive up the Rincon coast. MMJ's music would fit perfectly on KTYD, but I doubt they ever play them, at least I have never heard it. There is some marketing mysteries about why this band is so unknown to the main public. They sure seem to be trying hard to get noticed, but the only people I know who are aware of them are the ones I turned on to them.

I was on TM last night and was shocked at the kinds of tickets that were still available.  I considered foregoing floor for some seats right in front of the sound booth, but I figure it will be too much of a pain to get rid of the floor (and, hey, it's the floor!).

I can't argue with the university comments, but another contributing factor may be the two headed monster known as the Santa Barbara hotel industry.  They spiked rates for the weekend and most are requiring a two night minimum stay.  Very expensive trip, potentially, and certain folks might be turned off of such an investment.  I am not included in that group (luckily a buddy lives there and has an extra bed).

CANNOT WAIT.  It will be tough to outdo Pantages (ended up front row and my neck still hurts from the headbanging), but I have faith!

Anybody know if there's an opener for this gig?  I'm pushing it with making the show on time (need to drive from LA after my own gig) and am willing to sacrifice watching the opener if there is one.  Show is listed as starting at 7:30 and I know SB Bowl shows end super early due to the proximity to houses.

It looks like it's gonna turn into a small intimate show. More rocking/dancing space.

I don't know but I'm guessing it will be 7:30 pm - 10 pm. I wanna go early because The Santa Barbara Bowl has good drinks prices (6 bucks premium) compared to many other outdoor ampitheatres.

This will be my first time seeing the band play while the sun is out.

wonder if there's any chance this show might get moved to the Arlington or the the Lobero.  wasn't that the case with the Monsters of Folk show a few years ago?   love the bowl, but can't imagine int being a 1/4 full at the most.

No opener.Expect 2.5 hour show, would be my guess.

This would be disappointing.

Lobero is booked, Arlington looks vacant until September.

I'm drivin' 9 hours for this  :)  Bummer about the headcount but that just means we'll have a special relationship with MMJ for a few hours.  We better be the loudest most partying small crowd EVER!   :D  :D  :D
soft and warm all the time make you want it over and over

curfew is 10 so I am expecting them to be on at 7:30, it is going to be super empty but still should be sick.  Stoked to walk from my house to see one of my favorite bands!

Noticed that the pit has finally sold out. Maybe people will start snatching up tickets at the last minute.
