My parents just moved to Boca 2 weeks ago and I think they need their son to come down for a visit.  December 10th seems like a good day.

What is that you say,  MMJ is playing Boca that night at a tiny outdoor theater?  Time to book a flight!

Anyone else have relatives in Florida that they need to visit?
was some shakin' and some record playin'

this show is a perfect candidate for a red-eye to fla!

(will have to see how my work schedule shakes out.  right now, it's looking busy...)

Not sure about this one Jeff, but thinking about a quick cheap flight out of Atlantic City to Orlando for the show the next night.

I'll keep you posted.
"Where's Jim going?"

Haldon

I will definitely be there.  I will be bringing my girlfriend also.  It will be her first show.  Her folks live a 15 minute walk from the venue.  I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Haldon

I find the venue to be a curious decision.  Of all the places they could have chosen in South Florida, I would have never thought that Sunset Cove would be the choice.  I've never seen a show there, nor do I know someone who has.

I'm thinking its going to be rather intimate, and hopefully with some nice So. Fla December weather, so it could be pretty nice

When I first saw Boca on the list, I thought it would be the Amp at Mizner Park. I was down there for Furthur last spring, and think it would've been perfect for MMJ.

Maybe Mizner is only used for summer concerts, or they heard MMJ likes it loud, and decided to have it at Sunset Cove. Never been there, but it definitely does look like a nice intimate place.

is anyone going to do the soundcheck bundle...any ideas as to whether it's "worth it"

Haldon

Just bought two tickets with the soundcheck bundle...turned out to be $167 for two tickets.  A bit steep IMO, for a show in Boca Raton, FL

ultimately, I would have paid any price, as I wanted to get the soundcheck experience.  The extra $90 definitely puts a dent in the pocket, but i'll get over it.

I'll just let my excitement dull the pain.

headhunter

still thinking about this one but if i do go, i will also want to do the soundcheck package.

Wish I had family members to visit as well...

Congrats to Haldon (finally) getting TWO shows in his backyard!

this seemed to sell out very very quickly on the presale.. but it also looked like they had very limited availability..

Stevie

got this confused with greensboro.. so Sunset Cove is going to be all GA for this show, right?

Haldon

Yes, it does seem as though it will be all GA. I've never been to the venue, so I can't be sure.  When I was selecting tickets, it only gave the option for GA

CTdeadhead

Got a buddy in Pompano got to let him know about this show.  Took him Langerado a few years back broke his cherry..

Looking forward to this show :D.
Half hour drive, not many people, & beautiful outdoor weather
My Perfect Day = Snowboarding on a powder day in the trees & listening to my favorite music.

My best friend who lives in south FLA recently had his first baby.  Perfect timing...... Dec 10th just happens to be the right time to meet the kid, get out of the cold, and take my buddy to his second MMJ show.

This is too funny cause my grandparents used to live in New Smyrna Beach Florida and i have visited there many times.  I still have family there and love to go to this town cause it is a beach town and has a pretty fun go cart/mini golf course there that i go to everytime i visit.  If you happen to go to this town a good restaurant to eat at is Spanish River Grill, i used to work there and the food is great, but pretty pricey for Florida.  You have to get the bread pudding dessert cause it is just that good!!! If you are going to the MSG show a few days later buy me one to bring with you and i will pay you dearly for it!!!
