had a really good time despite the screwed up venue...actually had a lot of fun early with all of trey's angels that showed up early to wait in line for his show. we got in line about 3:30 and i didn't see another jacket fan until about 6. setlist was what i expected although i did think they would manage to throw in a nashville to ky or carried away.crowd was pretty crazy and very young but definitely seemed to thoroughly enjoy the show.

Glad to hear the crowd, and especially the Seth-ster, had a good time.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Pretty standard, but pretty standard jacket is better than exceptional anyone else.  a little disappointed they didnt play one deep cut, but i guess they were tailoring this to new fans.  golden was the only slow song, so it was a pretty rockin show.  i personally thought the sound was great until the speaker/short issue, i was very surprised by that.

the dondante was more or less the exact same as cinci on 8/17.  so if you want to hear it, theres a good copy of it out there.

I'm not seeing Dondante on the Cincy set list. Do you mean the Alpharetta show on 8/20?

Muchas Gracias!

Edited - I just listened to it. It's close, but it is missing the amazing, face melting jam at the start. sigh.

The sound in the video kind of goes out after things kick in, but listen to that NASTY bass. Never heard Tom get that tone before...why oh why can't we have a recording of this show  :'( :'( :'(

My Morning Jacket - Victory Dance (Live in Nashville)

Tom definitely knocked some peeps up with his bass-seed that night...Carl's vocals are schweeter ans schweeter every time too

Agreed.  This was my 16th show but I don't think I have heard any as loud or as deep as that one was.  My ears were still ringing the next day.  Don't think that has ever happened after an MMJ show.  I was very pleasantly surprised with the whole thing.

Oh yeah, when Tom hit that first bass note in VD, my heart stopped.  Never in all my years have I heard anything like that.
out go the lights it begins

the bass plus the effect of vandy's screwed up raised gym floor made me feel a little bit preggers...had me bouncing around all over the place

By the way were any of you all on the rail(or near the front) on the right section? I was the kid third from the center up front.

I was probably one or two people behind you then. Blue flannel-ish shirt. What a show.
It's all happening.

Touch Me I'm Going to Scream Pt. 2 (Nashville 10/20/11)

Just watching this for the 1st time. Definitely one of the most interesting TM pt.II that I've seen!

Good to see more videos popping up too...now for that Dondante  :(

I am glad to see them at least mixing up their songs a bit even if they don't mix up the set list a lot.  Golden was really beautiful and different with Jim's solo.  Dondante was off the charts (per the usual) and PartII was from another planet.

Maybe it is just me, but it sounds like they have really locked in on some of the new songs.  The first few times I heard First Light, Black Metal, & The Day is Coming I thought they just didn't sound quite right.  They are knocking them all out of the park now.

I totally feel you on this. I hadnt really enjoyed day is coming or first light until this Nashville show. Black Metal was great in tuscaloosa and alpharetta, but it truly shined at Vandy.

Can't wait to catch a non-album tour with everything all mixed up again and burnin' bright!

Since we can't seem to get any footage of "Dondante", I'm really hoping some of the upcoming shows have a similar version. They won't have the strange sound of that gym, but that might be a good thing.
