Going! My daughter won the skybox tix from the  KCRW contest!!! ecstatic!!! :D

If one of my daughters does something like that, she will instantly become my favorite.

Johnny, i've a feeling you'd have to sadly tell your kid thank you, but i already have better seats ;)

excellent news Mons!

Ru-day

Has anyone heard anything from Roll Call on how the sound check is going to work out? Its now two days before the show and I have no idea what time the sound check is scheduled to begin? Do we just present our pit ticket and get admitted to the sound check? Am I the only one freaking out?  Awwwwwwww!!!!!   :D

I got this email from Artist Arena last Friday. Hope this helps mellow things out a bit for you. ;)

Dear My Morning Jacket Fan,

Thanks for purchasing a soundcheck party package for your upcoming *My Morning Jacket *event on *December 1st, 2011*!  As you know, this package gives you access to the band's private soundcheck party before the big show.  Please *READ ON* for full details!

- Please arrive between *2:45pm-3:30pm* at the amphitheater entrance next to Starbucks on the Citywalk to check in.
- Please do not arrive late, as late arrivals cannot be guaranteed entry to the soundcheck.
- You will need your *photo ID and Order Confirmation Email* to pick up your VIP sticky pass.  From there, you will be instructed to stand by until the event begins.
- Please make sure you are wearing your sticky and it is 100% visible for venue security.
- The band will play between 3-4 songs depending on their production schedule.
- Cameras are allowed without flashes. Video will not be allowed.
- After the soundcheck, you will depart from the venue with your limited edition signed poster and will be granted reentry officially with
your hard ticket to the show.

We hope you enjoy the show and thank you again for your continued support!

Regards,
Artist Arena

Ru-day

Ericm, thank you sooo much!!  I must have deleted that email on one of my hung-over mornings when all the emails seem junk emails to me. I'm so excited!!

Rizzos Girl

So we've got tix for the sound check and received my e-mail explaining where to be and what time.  Also have pit tixs for the show. Am I being a nervous nellie about losing a choice spot in line for the G.A. if we go into the sound check and then have to leave and get back in line after?  Or is it all way too early to worry about?  Learned to loved the GA seats so we can get on the rail but also gives me an anxiety attack about being on line early enough.  If I have to stand behind some tall dude all night I'm going to be extremely sad.  Somebody talk me off a ledge....

I don't know the venue or other details, but I should think you'll be okay.  If soundcheck ends by 4:30, doors are likely 6 or 6:30.  I can't imagine a huge line that early on a Thursday night.  Just head to line up as soon as you exit soundcheck.  Forgive me if I am wrong.  Any locals familiar with Gibson Amph care to chime in?
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

I think you're spot on John. I was thinking the same. Plus this show is mostly reserved seating, with a ga pit. I don't know how many pit tix they sold, but I'd be more concerned if the whole venue was ga.

thank you! slowly inching off the ledge.  slowly....

gardenparty

yeah, i can't imagine you will have any issues. LA crowds tend to be pretty lax on that kind of thing.  I have GA tix and don't plan to head in until at least 7ish

Reverend ToneZone

Reverend ToneZone checking in +1!  Can't wait!  Sharon Jones too, what a show!   :D
None of this is physical . . . at least not to me.

dylanquirt

If the PIT ticket allotment is anything like the Wiltern or Greek it will be just fine - not too crowded with a enough room to move around. And yes, LA folks tend to be late - Also, make sure youre there in time for Sharon Jones!!!

I would be happy with any of those, too.  Hell, I'd be stoked for Anytime and Lay Low, even those have become rarities on this tour...
I'd also love to hear I Will Sing You Songs, What A Wonderful Man, and The Way That He Sings

I could be happy with these as well.  I think we got an Anytime at the Pantages show.  Is that correct?

The countdown begins!!!  I hope to meet some of you.  Any last minute info on pre-show party spots?
