Legendary singer-songwriter and former CCR frontman John Fogerty will celebrate his enormous canon of hits with a guest-heavy new studio album. Wrote a Song for Everyone will be released this fall by Vanguard Records, and will see Fogerty perform "classics and deep tracks" from both CCR and his own solo catalog, as well as new songs with help from Foo Fighters, My Morning Jacket, Bob Seger, Miranda Lambert, Dawes, and more.

Full details, including a complete artist list and tracklisting, will be announced shortly. In the meantime, check out Forgerty's newest song "Swamp Water", which serves as the theme song for the FOX television series The Finder.

Awesome news.

Every time I hear "Sweet Hitchhiker" I think of "One Big Holiday" at one point.

Bump.

Hey...was there any other news on this?

Looks like Jim is lending falsetto vocals to "Long As I Can See The Light":

"Like almost every other kid on Earth, Creedence was a huge part of my childhood," adds My Morning Jacket's Jim James, who sings a sweet falsetto version of "Long as I Can See the Light." "John's still got it."

I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Funny article that makes me not know what to think of Fogerty (read : Keith Urban must be an R&B star). The MMJ part is priceless though.

So cool they are teaming up. CCR was played non stop by my dad when I was a kid. Now I play MMJ non stop for my kids. Circle of life right there :)
If you don't know for yourself, how could you ever know for me....

Cool article. I can't wait to buy this.
Maybe now John should cover an MMJ song.

Fogerty is Marc Maron's guest on the WTF podcast that was released today and it's terrific.  Marc also shows a lot of love to the MMJ track on the album.  Said he listened to it repeatedly on the way home from taping the interview at Fogerty's house.

Just heard the song. Sounds like the CCR version, only a bit different, and definitely MMJ sound also. Great idea for Fogarty.

The music on the MMJ collaboration is superb! I love the sax and guitar playing; however, I am just not digging Jim's voice on it. I am sure I am in the minority here, but something just does not feel right. I guess I am just so used to the original.

Studio footage montage, brought to my attention by the lovely and talented MyMorningTubeTop.  Greatness...

I'm in the minority with you. Love Jim's voice on anything but wasn't really into this. It feels like they took great rock songs and turned them into smooth adult contemp stuff. I also think it's weird concept--not a covers or a tribute album but hey, he's JF so he can do whatever he wants. I did like the Miranda Lambert (and someone) song, I don't know her music but they made it a little more americana.
