I still think that LAY LOW-ANYTIME-WAR BEGUN-I WILL SING YOU SONGS might be the best 4 song run ever.  The War Begun was breathtaking.
This!

I agree as well, but you could easily just make it a six-er and put that insane Honest Man and Aluminum Park (which kills live) on the end of that list.  And right before that we had Evil Urges with horns.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Night 3 was one slab of MMJ perfection from beginning to end.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

You filmed that so nicely, GO4IT! Seeing and hearing make it so much better. Also, love the nuzzling.always love it when those two get affectionate.
Yes, excellent video but for the loudmouth jerk who... what?  who?  Oh...  :embarrassed:

Sorry, Rob.

I fixed your video embed, too.  If a YouTube url comes up with "https", take the "s" out and it should embed fine.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Yes, agreed. That whole run from EU on was insanity. I am a huge fan of PC3. All the shows were awesome but this one just had so many of my personal faves all strung together.
anything + reverb always = better

"F*cking Carried Away".... Nough' said.....

I could totally get behind them throwing this and even a Jim solo (A New Life) into their rotation on the regular.
Mona Lisa must'a had the highway blues, you can tell by the way she smiles.

Hey, thanks for fixing that link John.  Glad that you and Fully (and hopefully some others) enjoyed reliving Carl's moment that night.  I try to capture a few videos each show to remind me of how great these shows are and contribute to the collection of videos for all of us to enjoy.

And sorry for those first few moments which probably qualify as "annoying concert behavior".  I got "carried away" but did settle down down eventually.

Yeah PC3 was pretty much a perfect show all in all as the band was fantastic and the crowd was so energized throughout.  The other shows were fantastic, but this one was probably my favorite of all time.

I've got the signed version of "All Birds Say" - ordered it as soon as I could and it's a wonderful album.

If you want to relive Port Chester's Carried Away here's my video.  I'm not sure there's another posted.  You just need to get by my freaking out when I realized what was about to come :cheesy:

My Morning Jacket - Carried Away - Port Chester, NY - 12/28/12

I've been watching this over and over. It just takes me back to how awesome that performance was. I texted scosby telling him that I wanted to watch the PC DVD and then I remembered that there wasn't one. This video is about as close as we will get to that. I like that the camera doesn't bounce too much- at all really.

Fuckin A Right! I've seen Carried Away Six times live (two of them were Carl solo with Trampled by Turtles) and the PC Carried Away was UNFUCKINBELIEVABLE!!! Carl started slowing it down and Jim came over and was stamping on his foot, and they were facing each other just CRUSHING that song (always a personal favorite). I get all amped up when you can tell Carl's gonna play it. He starts stepping up as Jim noticeably backs up a bit. It's a Carl song that has become a MMJ song, and I'm so happy thats happened.

I also echo the sentiment that night 2 PC was one of the best Dondontes I've seen as well. If Dondontes not at least 18-20 min long, it seems like they're cutting it short. I think it was 24min at PC.

So to make a long rant longer. Those were too definite highlights of night two.

P.S. I'd suffer through another Trampled by Turtles show again just to get 45 min of Carl, but I wouldn't recommend it. I'd like to see more solo Carl. If you dont own All The Birds Say, I cant recommend it enough. It's just a beautiful, folky, happy, sad, Beatle'y, Pet Sound'y, GREAT album.

If you listen really close to the start of The Dark on night 2 you will hear me say Here we go!! Bc we all know that's when the show really started...and right after the first guitar strum of ITIGTH you can hear me say YESSSSSS!! WOOOOO!!! Haha, there are many others scattered around all three nights but those two are easy to spot

Fully

Scosby, your comment about The Dark just made me realize I didn't have it for some reason. I don't know why I don't, but whatever. I have it now.

I find myself smiling at the same spot every time--a few notes into Off the Record---someone says 'they ah not stoppin, they ah NOT STOPPIN'' !!! Need to find out who that is...read my mind..

You heard it!!! Awesome!!!

Yes, it was, and I immediately thought about Seth's post about the PC boot.
I also heard Whippy having a convo with somebody just before the band took the stage.    No question, those mics had to be pretty close to you guys.
