I'm just fooling about that mid-week thing, Whipster. I'd be there for a few days on either side no matter what, so folks would be welcome to come up. Last year, everybody flew in for just the weekend and didn't have any extra days, whereas it was the other way (and only one show) the year before. A three-night run would be amazing, but yeah, selling those tickets might be an issue. This is all an apple-pipe dream right now anyway, right?

We have a name for the annual event (JFW). For that reason alone, they can't not play. They should even announce it as Jacket Fest West 3: August 2nd, 3rd, and 4th at Red Rocks!"


then JFW4 will be 4 shows...
then JFW5 will be 5 shows...
etc.


Seriously though, because of the amount of travel people put in over 2011 and 2012, the openers of 2012, the sets of '11 and '12, etc, they could really make this a special, annual MMJ weekend. 3 nights every year in august. different openers year by year. it could easily become a real Jacket Fest (i say easily having no experience what-so-ever with working in the music biz)

I am in full agreement! However, I would wish for a mid-week run, so that we are all forced to take the entire week off, and we can have more time to spend running from mountain lions at the cabin.

I'll be at the cabin either way. Midweek or weekend.  I'm craving one of those Ribeyes already, and Mountain lions won't mess with Jersey. We'll sick Sasquatch on em!

this has been on my mind too. if they do nothing else, please just play a couple of nights at red rocks. i'd fly out there in a heartbeat. i went to ALOT of shows in 2012, but red rocks was my absolute highlight.

The Ryman is nothing short of amazing, but trust me when I say that you'll forget all about it when you go to RR for the first time.

I'll be there all nights again in less then a heartbeat.  I could not miss that for the world, the 2012 bootlegs they released are amazing and they have been in the majority of my listening time, just jamming out to Tyrone.  PLEASE MMJ, play Red Rocks again and every year until the end of eternity, i won't ever miss a show!

If it happens, we'll be there again.  I said at RR last year that this should be the annual pilgrimmage for the gang.

Unfortunately, I don't have high hopes that this will happen.
