This show won't attract the type of crowd that Atlanta attracted. People who go to see a Dylan, Wilco, MMJ tour are not casual music fans. Therefore the sets will reflect this. The ATL set was to win over Zac Brown fans who are not as sophisticated with their musical tastes. The entire show will be a treat however long they play. To get to see these three band plus Richard Thompson or Ryan Bingham on one day is awesome. I wasn't planning on any MMJ shows this year, so any show I can see is a bonus for me. I was at the ATL show and I had as good a time as I had at any show. It wasn't a Port Chester set for sure, but I got to hang out with scosby, Whippy, Manonthemoon, rjlemons, Holls and others. Half the fun is the show, seeing my Jacket frannns is the other half. When I go to shows without y'all, it just isn't the same.

good points fully

I'm going to enjoy this regardless for many reasons:
I get to see my favorite band in what should have been an off year
I get to see my second favorite modern band for the first time
I get to see Dylan, this is definitely one for the bucket list
The crowd will be awesome
A chance at some huge collaborative moments
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

This is very exciting... would this mean the Americana show in Nashville in Sept?... Oh having to wait for details... Within my group of friends that I watch football with is Bob's son in law, a really nice guy who is also in my field of work and helps me out from time to time. Could you imagine having Bob as your Father in Law? He and his wife and kids are really nice and you would never know related to Bob. I do remember playing with his daughter when she was about 4 and thinking, My God your Grandpa is Dylan? There are some good Bob stories on occasion, one of my favorites was his simple request for the "godmother" an awesome deli sandwich in Santa Monica for his big 70th birthday. I love the idea of everyone in reverence of him turning 70 and he's just sitting mowing down on a delicious Italian sub with his family!

Can't wait to hear about these shows... Hoping MMJ and Wilco ignite Bob! :cheesy:

Great story, Tubetop! The Americana thing in Nashville is an awards show promoting Americana music. While similar in name, it's not the same thing at all. They have lots of shows around Nashville the week leading up to it, but more Jason Isbell, Caitlyn Rose, Steve Earl, Allison Kraus, Bobby Bare, Jr. ...and so on.

should be a ticketing nightmare.
yup.

be optimistic  fans of all bands should get tickets especially if the venues are as big as rumoured (Camden, NJ for example).

Im assuming roll call members get to prepurchase on Wednesday?

What is everyone expecting ticket prices to be?

expecting expensive... Bob Dylan alone is a fair chunk. Wilco charge a bit more then MMJ.. so waiting with baited breath.

Not expecting them to be cheap, but prefer to wait til they're posted to even think about it.

If they do play Camden be prepared for a nice venue, with a party lot, in an absolute shithole of a town. Anyone coming from out of town DO NOT stay in Camden. Across the river in Philly, or in a few Jersey towns east of Camden have some nice hotels. All within a half hour or less of the venue.

I've seen Rush in Camden and you are very correct.  That city is awful, avoid being in there for anything other than the show.

Wasn't Cinci being speculated for a July 6th date?  Wilco sort of confirmed Chicago on their FB page I think.

Hoboken on July 26th!  Which is 2 days after my birthday!  And I live in Hoboken!  Woo Hoo!

(To be honest, I was going to skip this, but now I feel I have to go, no matter what the $$, as it is WALKING distance from my apartment)
