I sure hope the band gets close to a full show, I don't feel like paying $120 for an hour long MMJ set of just Wordless Chorus, Victory Dance, Gideon, First Light, Circuital, Touch Me Pt. 2 and One Big Holiday :undecided:

I'm with you on this. I'd go, but if it ends up being an hour long set like you described, I seriously doubt I'd do more than one show.

agreed!  If this results in another Atlanta-esque set list every night for nubies, I'll be one and out.

However, if they rotate closing sets, then there may be some sort of luck involved for those assholes showing up at the right show.....an MMJ crapshoot, if you will.
What's in here won't disappear

Wilcos page on fb has announced a couple smaller bands. Im so confused.

Are the other bands going to play at small stages somewhere near the amphitheater while the three headliners play?  How can they fit all of these bands in one night? Are they playing past midnight? I can only hope.
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

Richard Thompson and Ryan Bingham will both be great additions to this. I really hope I'm able to make one of the dates with Thompson -if I'm able to make any of them.

Deep breaths EC, deep breaths.

I'm sure we'll be getting the deetz soon, and I understand the excitement, but until then, perhaps a yoga session, or a Valium?

The wilco Facebook says details revealed Monday at noon and includes #toyotaparkchicago.  Chicago works for me.

Whats the and more mean? Also, if doors open at 4 then does the show start around 4:30, 5? That would give each band roughly 2 hours of play time if they went to midnight.

additional artists at select venues

expect more details tomorrow

You're a better person than I am, ericm.

How can more artists play at select venues when there is barely enough time for Wilco and MMJ to get proper set lengths!?

I'm hoping the other bands play on a different stage while the headliners play on the main stage.

Typically amphitheaters have a small side stage right?

Man that yoga session didn't last long.

Perhaps a nice stiff drink will do the trick instead?    I know it's early, but it's five o'clock somewhere.

Haha, funny thing is, my girl has actually been trying to convince me to do yoga with her for like a week now.  Not because I've been freaking out about this tour, but because she thinks it helps her relieve stress.

I will be okay as long as the bands get to play proper sets.

Yeah it does.    You might want to take her up on that, because until some shows are actually played, I doubt we'll know much about proper sets.  No sense stressing about it until then,IMO. We might get some info about that, but I'm not counting on it.

First thing for me is dates, and venues so I can see what I can do. Then I'll just enjoy the get togethers, shows, and hopefully a Jacket closing set or two.

seems to me this will be a pearl jam 20 type festival... 4 or 5 bands... with all main bands playing about 1.5 hours. Hoping for a philly area show as probably won't be able to travel for these.

I torn with this idea as wilco and mmj are my fav bands they won't be getting 3 hour sets...

This.

As much as I'd love to see this (and I probably will anyways), I'd much rather see a longer set from the two.  I'm hoping MMJ doesn't just play another Atlanta set with casual songs.  On the other hand, if it is an hour and 30min set with rarities, that'd be something else entirely.

the pro is you get to see the legend dylan and the best 2 american touring bands right now.. the con is yes you may get 1.5 sets that aren't catered to the fanboys (i.e us).

This show won't attract the type of crowd that Atlanta attracted. People who go to see a Dylan, Wilco, MMJ tour are not casual music fans. Therefore the sets will reflect this. The ATL set was to win over Zac Brown fans who are not as sophisticated with their musical tastes. The entire show will be a treat however long they play. To get to see these three band plus Richard Thompson or Ryan Bingham on one day is awesome. I wasn't planning on any MMJ shows this year, so any show I can see is a bonus for me. I was at the ATL show and I had as good a time as I had at any show. It wasn't a Port Chester set for sure, but I got to hang out with scosby, Whippy, Manonthemoon, rjlemons, Holls and others. Half the fun is the show, seeing my Jacket frannns is the other half. When I go to shows without y'all, it just isn't the same.
