MMJ will not be at the Jones Beach show, so i'll be seeing some of you at Newport afterall :)

Sucks i'm going to miss this whole tour, though.

I do hope they come back and play Jones Beach, just because it's a cool venue, even if it's in the middle of nowhere.

That's a relief. I'm glad that worked out for you.

Weird, the MMJ press release is missing some dates, but they are listed in the TOUR section -- phew!

Looks like some RC presales are this week, some next week.

EDIT -- waaaaaaaaaaaait a minute, the MMJ site says (for the Toronto date anyway) presales are on May 3rd and the public onsale is May 1st. The world's first reverse ticket presale! Innovative!!!

I agree. How they could choose anyplace over RR is beyond me.

Only thing I can  think of is economics. Probably a helluva lot cheaper to book at Fiddler's than RR, and seats more too.

It is probably the money, but jesus christ, they'd sell the place out, and how much goddamn money do they need to make? A buddy suggested that maybe Bob would rather play in a place with acoustics that are less stellar.

And I see that the place is now called "Comfort Dental Amphitheater"

Some of these venues baffle me. Riverfront Park doesn't regularly hold shows anymore although I know Jacket has played there before quite spectacularly.

No big outdoor venues in Nashville.

Now for early entry details and set times... as a wilco fan will be good to HOPEFULLY use my advantage of being a ROLL CALL member to get good vantage point for both bands.

For anyone who wondered about roll call presale, this is straight from MMJ's site:

*please use the unique code that was emailed to you for the Roll Call Presale (email with code to go out to Roll Call members the evening before the presale begins)*

Has anyone gotten the roll call email yet?

Slow down there man, exhale, and read that quote again.

I  think the earliest presale is Wednesday.

Jacket and Wilco are about the only two bands that could lure me to the lamest venue in SE Virginia (the Farm Bureau Live Amphitheater in Virginia Beach).

I saw Dylan on the baseball stadium tour he did with Mellencamp and Willie a few years back.  If his performance is anything like that, I may just get home before 10:30pm.

Don't you ever turn it off

This is actually on the Lawn@Riverfront where the old thermopower plant was located. It's where Soundland was supposed to be. Not exactly like playing Riverfront Park in the old days.

Here is a link to the dates/prices. Click on "More Info" on your city then click "Price Range" at the top to see what prices are in your area. Looks like Noblesville is $39-$94.90 (after fees).

It's through ticketfly. I can't find it on their site though.

 Well that is a big bummer!  The Columbus, OH show is at an enormous ARENA in the middle of Summer!?  WTH.  That kills it for me, was really looking forward to a nice Summer evening outside show.  Not going to an Arena for this show.

The venues are overall really bad (atleast the 4 I know), though it seems the consensus is that they kind of suck. Having said that, I will still be going to as many of these shows as I can. For a "quiet" 2013, things are looking sweet so far.

In general, the venues are a bit of a headscratcher.   I was just considering popping down to Bridgeport to see them at somewhere a bit different (and catch a few of you guys )  But after looking at some pics of the venue and the seating chart, I'm not so sure.   Will have to see how the field is laid out.   I haven't had good concert experiences at baseball fields.

Wow I haven't been to the forum in a while... this thread is crazy and cracking me up! Ohhhh the choices, Penny that is ironic that you will be Newport while the boys are mere blocks from your home. I have to say a bit of me hopes JJ takes his vitamins, thats a tough sched. Will Newport be compromised with all of these dates? It does seem like the teleporter needs to come out to make it all happen. No talk from fellow Westcoasters on our dates...  Irvine amp is not a venue I frequent but alas I will and a strong finish at Shoreline! (my bedroom is shoreline blue- tribute to Jerry!). Anyone going to the Colorado show, it's on my birthday and thoughts are a buzzing... So many shows so little time, so much to put on the dime for such a good time...

I thought I read that these shows will start at 4pm? That would help with the set times...

I have seen a lot of shows at Irvine Meadows, but it was back in the 80s.  LD and I will be there for sure.  From what I remember, it'll be party in the parking lot pre-show (if they even allow that), not many bars anywhere nearby, but that could have changed.  I hope we can get Blucas out to that show, too.  I'm just assuming that walterfredo and rincon will be there as well.  See ya all there!!
