What is everyone's favorite live version?

I have to say that Evil Urges from 1/27/13 OBH was pretty awesome, I like that way that he  sings some of the song instead of high pitched all the way through.

Also, Slow Slow Tune from Port Chester 12/29/12... Patrick and that drum solo  :drum: Wow.

Both of these versions are better than the originals for me.

This is my favorite version of PWW.  Totally blew me away on Festival Pier in Philly:

Am I nuts? Obviously I am, BUT I've looked, and there is somone near and dear to me who has been on the hunt. I've seen and listened to a LOT of Dondantes, and I keep comin back to that one.
It was the night after MMJ played Lalapalooza, (an odd choice, I thought at the time), then down to Indy(Carl's old stomping grounds?) to the Lawn at White River. Great venue! It's literally just a big lawn and the staff hands you your FREE lawn chair to use for the evening. It was about a 100 degrees outside and the sun was out for 75% of it. It was HOT! Thought we'd get a good show, but it was SOO HOT, outside. Figured it might slow the guys down a bit.
NO, SIR! They came out all cylinders firing!

And this isn't a dare. I really wanna hear a Dondante better than this one, IF one exists? It clocked in just shy of 19 min. DIRTY JAM! Baby makin music!

Ok where can i find a copy of that show?  you make it sounds like a night i will alway regret not going to.  also My favorite version of Dondante was Red Rocks 2012 night 2 of course.
Can you keep it simple? Can you let the snare crack? Can you let it move without holding back?

I think that the Strangulation from Acoustic Chorale can't be beat. The intensity of the song is crazy.

I keep coming back to this version of Old Sept Blues because of Jim's voice and the guitars

My Morning Jacket - Old September Blues - live Wiltern, September 11, 2012

Also, this is the best version of Picture of You ever...it starts at 15:30

really, turn up the volume. Jim's voice is soooo pure

Thank you Mr. Yac. You are a gentlemen and a scholar. I could'nt remember if it was media fire or off the steam engine... My lady friend does all the downloading. I'm computer illiterate. Emails, tix, and porn, is bout all I can find on the interweb. That "Dondante" is AURAL pornography.
DIRTY, DIRTY Dondante!

Off The Record, first night of the Capitol Theater run. I wasn't there that night (was there for nights 2 & 3), so I'm guessing that was Jim with the sassy guitar jam intro and Bo's keys really sets it off. Just sick work all around from the band on this one

Ps, the guy screaming "they're not stopping! They're not stopping!" right at the beginning is pretty funny
Don't you ever turn it off

This one is definitely a contender. All of those Port Chester shows were lights out though. I have to say that they certainly rocked this song out though.

My favorite PWW will always be that version on Celebracion. There have been spacier, jammier versions for sure, but good lord, that Carl solo just fucking EXPLODES. I've never heard another version that has that same explosion factor.

Crispy

O Is the One That Is Real, at T5. It's always a mind-blower, but the crowd just absolutely exploded, and everybody was not only jumping, but trying to leap as high as they possibly could, trying to reach the top of the building, out of which it felt like the band and this song was going to shoot us like a cannonball out of a cannon.  :cheesy:
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

scosby2

This is really really hard...If I had to pick a live moment that stuck out to me it would definitely be Bonnaroo 2006....Loving Cup into the Easy Morning Rebel...it was amazing...The Port Chester Evelyn when Jim looked right at us during the 1-2-1-2-3-4 count and noticed we were counting with him and then he smiled really big...that has become one of the main parts of that song now, especially at shows like PC or OBH where you have such a huge gathering of hardcore fans that know what's coming next pretty much all the time

As far as the "best live version" of Off The Record goes, it is hands down, unequiocally the PC version! I may be biased since I was there, but it is hardly debatable... See what I mean:

One more! I cant say as much, in absolute terms, about the ranking of Run Thru at PC but I personally thought they destroyed it. Maybe a more seasoned Jacket aficianado could provide versions to compare... See for yourself, folks:
