Pre-Sale Not Working?

Exactly. More than one person had an issue with payment options. It seems they may have used whatever you had on file to up your last RC membership or purchase merch or whatever. I understand that. Don't make me feel as though I am somehow at fault for not being clairvoyant. It's insulting. Also insulting is the "we can't do anything to help you now that we've jammed you up" I seem to get every time I reach out for help.

In December, I re-upped and bought the Roll Call Delux membership (I think I first joined in 2011 (does that seem right?)).  I got all the emails about the tour last week, with no problems.

So at about 9:45 a.m. Central Time this morning, I tried logging into the website.  Unfortunately, I was using an older version of IE (the only one available at my work), and nothing but the MMJ logo would appear at the screen where I tried checking my account.  There was no login screen for Roll Call. 

So I switched to my iPad (Safari), and when I tried logging in, it said that my password had expired (how does a password expire?).  The site made me change my password.  So I did, and it was moving at a snail's pace.  I used another computer in our firm's IT department (running on Explorer 10), and nothing showed up at 10:00.  Luckily, I had a direct link to the third Chicago show, and was able to get a 3-day bundle (it pulled the credit card I used in August for my payment option -- thank God I renewed then, otherwise it would have had an expired credit card).  But I still have not received a confirmation mail. 

Why can't there a normal login page, a normal page where you can actually see the shows all on one page, a ticket link that goes live the moment tickets are on sale, and a purchase page that lets you enter your own credit card information?  IMO, whoever set this site up went WAY overboard with trying to be little too cute, and in the meantime did way more harm than good.

Did anyone not even get an email about presale?  I have the 18 month membership that is good until December 2015 and never even got an email about presale.

Nope, i have a receipt from PayPal from 10:07AM for a payment to WU in the exact amount of 4 GAs to Red Rocks.  Never got an email from WU/Ground(Ctrl) with a confirmation #, which it sounds like others did.  So as of now, i have paid for tickets that I'm assuming I'm not getting.

They have done that to me every time I have opened a ticket. When we got the 4 month roll call extension it didn't work for me. They just said, "it's a browser issue", then closed the ticket. I had to file another ticket as they didn't actually help me.

That's ridiculous! I am emailing them against their wishes to create a 3rd ticket until my issue is resolved.  I was done worrying about it today, until they emailed me with the assumption that I wasn't logging into my account correctly when the closed my ticket.

The problem was not a user error for any of us.  It was because no one made sure the 2014 roll call members were good to go for the sale! Stop blaming the fans who pay for these memberships every year to support our favorite band.  We, the fans, help you make money!

Yeah that's what's grinding my gears the most. Complete denial that WU messed up in anyway. The company flat out said it was the fans fault, that everything on the WU end was done correctly. Even though nothing worked until Allison reset my account. I just wish they had told me beforehand to ask to have my account reset or whatever so that I could have done so before chaos of an on-sale.

Whatever. I've been disappointed with Roll Call in the past and today that trend continues. Business as usual, I suppose.

Looks like I was one of the lucky ones, 2014/15 membership re-upped in Dec but no serious issues with the pre-sale.  Like someone else said I had to scroll down after 10 am to find the tickets and the "2 shows same seat" option said sold out but was able to go back and purchase for each show (Columbus).  Ended up in the pit both nights, front row 2nd night! Sorry everyone had hassles, I wasn't sure how I paid either but I have email confirmation and they show up in my orders so my fingers are crossed...

Another issue is that there is no way to go back to your shopping cart once at a certain point.  Let's say you have tickets for a show and want to continue shopping.  But tix for that second show you want aren't available.  You can't then go back to your cart to buy for your first show..... no way to get back to your cart.  You have to add tickets from any other show on the list that may be available and then your cart appears with your show one tickets in there.  Then delete what you don't want and pay.

That is a minor issue compared to oistheone, sass, and justbcuz..... I really feel bad for you and those that really had a bad experience.  It would be a nice customer service gesture if some of the prime seats the band/venue hold that end up being released day of show be made available to you guys soon.

Wow, rough day you guys! Like TDB, I'm glad I didn't even renew the membership and I'd rather deal with regular people sales and chance it. I won't even comment on shipping vinyl for $14. For $14, the band should singing telegram the vinyl to you!

And note to WU marketing/PR department---never EVER EVER suggest to a group of die hard, emotionally spent ticket goers that it's a BROWSER ERROR! These are people you want to be accommodating to! In a year or two, when another company is doing your job, I'll say the same thing to them!

Thought I would share my issue today:

How frustrating....so I purchased 2 GA tix and the money was taken out of my account but I didn't see the order in my Roll Call Account. I called and spoke to someone at Wonderful Union who told me that it was "strange" and that he would look into it and email or call me back today. Then 7 hours later I callback and the rep who answers after 3 calls stating their hours are closed, lol, tells me it was an error from PayPal and that I dont have the tickets, lol.

I was told that even though it shows my money was taken out that it will just drop off in the next couple days and if not to call them back. So yeah a bit frustrated. He states not too many issues occurred today during presales, lol.

So it looks like I will be trying to get tix this Friday.

I don't want to give them money, but I also don't want to miss out on the 7" end of year vinyl.  I cannot win.

Is the band or their manager aware of all or any of this?

It's the only one for this leg of the tour. I'm sure if/when more shows are announced, they'll be a presale for those.

The ticket links are still open, and while some are sold out, there are some shows that still have tix available.

Today was the only Roll Call presale for all announced dates. You can check individual venues as it seems there are tix available for some.

Thanks, yeah I was pretty stunned, it's just crappy business to fan club members. Not to mention all the other issues I've read about today with others. Hopefully this will all be solved soon.

I'm actually in the process as I type this of contacting Paypal to see what happened and to make sure this transaction doesn't go through (I see it is still in pending status in my bank account), thanks for the help!
