Thought I would share my issue today:

How frustrating....so I purchased 2 GA tix and the money was taken out of my account but I didn't see the order in my Roll Call Account. I called and spoke to someone at Wonderful Union who told me that it was "strange" and that he would look into it and email or call me back today. Then 7 hours later I callback and the rep who answers after 3 calls stating their hours are closed, lol, tells me it was an error from PayPal and that I dont have the tickets, lol.

I was told that even though it shows my money was taken out that it will just drop off in the next couple days and if not to call them back. So yeah a bit frustrated. He states not too many issues occurred today during presales, lol.

So it looks like I will be trying to get tix this Friday.

CHIMMJFAN

Wow, I don't even have words for how disgusting that is.  This company is worse than a shady utility like Time Warner/Comcast.... I'm really sorry for your situation. I will never give another dime to this company.

I don't want to give them money, but I also don't want to miss out on the 7" end of year vinyl.  I cannot win.

Is the band or their manager aware of all or any of this?

Yeah I'm definitely hoping the band/management gets the proper feedback so that this is resolved for future tours.

after reading everybody's reports on today i think it is 100% safe to say that it is browser error across the board.

Contact PayPal's help desk and ask *them* what transpired.

I'm actually in the process as I type this of contacting Paypal to see what happened and to make sure this transaction doesn't go through (I see it is still in pending status in my bank account), thanks for the help!

CHIMMJFAN
Of course. It's obvious the charge went thru WU...there's no way PayPal just created a charge out of nowhere. Kind of disgusting that WU just lied to get you off their back.

Take it back to WU and the band when you get an answer. The only way these ongoing issues are going to get resolved is if the band and management are involved.

Good luck, and I hope you fare better in the onsale.

I agree, paypal is opening a dispute claim right now with WU, and they state that it is ridiculous in terms of the error that happened and not crediting my account. We'll see what happens.

Can CC or someone reach out to management to inform the band on how terrible ground control or wonderful union has consistently been over the past few years? It reflects poorly on everyone when this never gets fixed.
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

Yeah show me the petition to sign and I'm there! This is beyond frustrating!

Same thing happened to me CHIMMJFAN.

I was half joking earlier when I said I was waiting for an email from WU blaming PayPal.

So it's user error, browsers, paypal... Blah blah blah.  Lies and failure after failure with this company.  It's impossible the bands management doesn't know what happened today, or the history of this relationship with GC/WU and the fans base.  Band management doesn't care.  They're gonna sell tickets and it just doesn't matter to them.  If they cared at all they would've switched gears after the last tour debacle and WU wouldn't have had the chance to screw up today, again... See you next tour, when we all deal with this again.

I'll sign too. Things went good for me today but it was probably the 1st time it did.

While we're at it can we add an addendum to allow Roll Callers the ability to transfer tix to other Roll Callers in case they can't make a show? It sucks that those tix will just sit at Will Call and go unused especially since they're paid for. I'd like to at least be able to miracle a Roll Caller, and not see the tix go to waste.

Why can't there a normal login page, a normal page where you can actually see the shows all on one page, a ticket link that goes live the moment tickets are on sale, and a purchase page that lets you enter your own credit card information?  IMO, whoever set this site up went WAY overboard with trying to be little too cute, and in the meantime did way more harm than good.

YES to all of that!

And yes to ericm's idea about being able to transfer tickets to other Roll Call members.

+2 to ericm's idea of being able to transfer tickets to other Roll Callers.   I had to skip a Jeff Tweedy show last night in Minneapolis - couldn't sell the ticket.  I would have slept better knowing someone could have used it, even at zero cost versus letting it go to waste.

TheeAutumnWind

I paid for deluxe and couldn't get in until 30 mins after on-sale.  Then I was able to add 2 GA for Red Rocks, hit continue shopping, added 2 for Pittsburgh, and voilà, the Red Rocks tickets are gone from the cart.  Go back to re-add, and (obviously) it's sold out.

WU basically told me I'm SOL because they can't reproduce the error.

I wrote to Wonderful Union about this. Never got a response.

Man that sucks. I was able to put two shows (MPP and Orlando) in my cart today and check out without a problem but I have had what happened to you happen to me in the past. In fact I was real leery about trying it today but went for it because they were both fairly easy ga tix, and figured I could always go back for Orlando if I got screwed.

There really is no rhyme or reason to how these presales work. Not only is scoring tix the luck of the draw but it seems actually purchasing them without a problem is too.

Dude that really sucks for you all. I went into my roll call/grndctrl account after reading all this to make sure my billing info is accurate so I don't run into the same problem many of you did in the event they announce some west coast dates and I actually try to buy tickets... watched the WU video for how to do it... unfuckinbelieveable what it involves to change your billing info. You have to add something to your cart and go up to the page to buy it... you can't even just login to your account and update it there. And if you had a credit card on file from when you opened your roll call account, it bypasses that page all together and takes you to straight to the click to purchase page--which if I was stressing trying to buy tickets before they sold out, I would never have figured out how to navigate to that page, and would have assumed there was no way to update the credit card.

This whole setup is perhaps the most poorly designed purchasing process I have seen for ANYTHING online since, well, since the internet first existed... how on earth is MMJ contracting with this shoddy business?

The error is their weak as hell system that was designed in the most convoluted manner possible. You were not the error here. Argh, my blood is boiling again. They take responsibility for NOTHING.

I responded to the WU support ticket from this morning, asking them why this wasn't tested prior to the sale aaaaaand their response:
QuoteUnfortunately we are not able to test accounts on an individual basis prior to the pre sales. We were not able to duplicate the issue the account not working only to confirm that we had been able to log in successfully and saw no issues with your account. Thank you and we hope that you have a wonderful rest of your day!

was anybody that purchased the limited time roll call earlier this year, able to get tickets?

i feel like WU didn't account for this subset of users and in a panic, turned our accounts on too late for us to get tickets.... blaming it on browser error.

i've been a roll call member since day 1 and can't recall a clusterfuck like today. i understand the ticket allotment is small and there can be browser error... but come on, this is a company doing a service that people pay for. have your shit together.

I had 2 PIT tix for Charlotte in my cart.

I saw no other option than the PayPal button for payment - this is my default payment, but I didn't know how to change it to my credit card.  Fortunately, I have the credit card as an alternate payment source in my PayPal account.

I get to PayPal....it says it's processing the payment...then nothing.  No return to the site.  I wait, wait, wait...look for the usual instantaneous confirmation email from PayPal. Nothing.

I call Wonderful whatever....on hold.  SUPER freakin annoying music while on hold.  It actually gave me a headache.   No one ever picked up.

I gave up.  I closed the browser and started over.  20 minutes after this all began, I had THE EXACT SAME TIX in my cart again (how is that even possible??) - processing payment through PayPal again....tick....tick....tick....it went through and returned me to the site.  I got my confirmation email from PayPal.  Tix are in my orders page here.

All I can say is...WOW.  That was stressful, annoying, and messed up.  Why?

And I thank my lucky stars that no one seems to care about Charlotte, NC except for me, because I got the same PIT tix 20 minutes apart and didn't get shut out of the pre-sale.

ericm

Way to go Gina! Glad you scored pit tix to your hometown show.      Sucks that you had to deal with all that though but it seems to be par for the course with these presales.

WU closed my ticket yesterday without responding to a single question...just saw it in my email a few minutes ago.

Sounds like you and I had the same issue, friend >>

Had 2 Friday night ATL Fox row A and 2 Saturday pit row CCC......Went to checkout > pushed to Paypal for payment info > signed in > entered security code > and then nothing happened.  After waiting several minutes I refreshed and re-entered the security and it read "you have already sent this payment".  Meanwhile I have no order confirmation in my PayPal account or in my email.......I was not as fortunate as you to be able to get the same tix.....as a matter of fact I have no tix at the moment.
