Is this maybe a case of WU's link to PayPal being faulty? I clicked the PayPal button and couldn't even get there...kept getting a security warning that link might be fake

I used Chrome, as I always do, and had no other windows open.

Also resulted in the loss of four Row As for nights 1 and 2 at the Fox.

Could be. I had a similar issue yesterday where my screen seemed to freeze on the way to checkout. Couldn't refresh or do anything but wait. After a couple of minutes of not wanting to rely on WU's presale going smoothly, I opened another window, went to the RC event page and pulled up my cart in that window. Checked out there no problem. When I was done I went back to the 1st window, and still nothing happening.

I was trying to get into roll call and my passoword didn't work.  That really freaked me out because I used it recently.  so I emailed ground control which sent me a link for new password.  It worked and suprisingly got one ticket for Milwaukee easily.

But I heard a horror story from neighbor who said he couldn't get into Chicago at all, sold out too fast........So it's Milwaukee for us now!!

I had the same issue CHIMMJFAN did.

Where PayPal payment went thru (got a receipt and pending transaction charge), but no confirmation email about tickets.

Just got this email.

Hello,

Thanks for contacting our fan support team.

We are following up with our ticketing department on this inquiry and we will update you as soon as we have new information to share.

Thanks for your patience.

Sincerely,

Wonderful Union

Since they already told him it was PayPals fault, and he doesn't have tickets, i feel my disappointment is just getting dragged out.  Hopefully they let me know by Friday

Sorry to those who had issues, and congrats to those of you who got tickets.

I hope you get your tickets.

How is it plausible that PayPal is at fault in any way? There was clearly communication b/w WU's system and PayPal for any charge to have been made against your account. The error had to have been on WU's end.

I'm curious to know if anyone who had the website crash on them got charged for tickets. That's my exact scenario right now...

I tried to get 4 tix to Red Rocks, got a 404 error, and tried again. When I tried again, got a successful message but then it immediately gave me another 404 error and the sold-out notice. I assumed the order did not go through either time.

I checked my credit card and turns out, I have 2 pending charges for $202.83 each from Wonderful Union. So, over $400.00 hanging out on my credit card right now and not 1 damn ticket.

I've emailed WU asking them to resolve this and my credit card company can help but only after the charges post (they are still pending now). I was just curious if anyone else had this happen to them.

Trying not to get too worked up over this but I'm struggling...

easy way

Wow! 7 pages on this topic already... more than the Chi-town 3 nighter. Just goes to show what a shotty operation they run over at grndctrl. Another disappointing and glitchy experience from my end as well friends.
On top of it all, dealing with the nonchalant, snotty ass customer service guy on the other end of the line certainly added insult to injury.

I'll get my tickets in the end, but I assure you this is the last time I pay for a pre-sale.

At least I'm getting a t-shirt out of the whole ordeal

Hey rmwren,

Sorry to hear about your issues.  Many of us can relate.  Your situation is similar to mine and few others it sounds like.  After my PayPal check out, I got a successful message, then i got redirected back to the MMJ site, and had a 404 error.  Wasn't sure what to make of it, but then I got a receipt from PayPal and assumed I was good.  i never got a confirmation email from WU, so that made me nervous, others did.

I still have a pending charge for $202.83 for the same show actually.

I feel your frustration, believe me.  I would rather have just got shut out honestly.  I could live with that, its happened to me many times.  This in limbo stuff is killin my soul, not to mention keeping my bank account hostage.

Hope it works out for ya, and quickly.

CHIMMJFAN

Ok so yes I did have the same exact issue as you guys payment taken for 2 GA tix for Red Rocks and error showed but my account shows pending transaction. I contacted PayPal and they suggested we 3 way call WU and have it resolved immediately. We tried doing that three different times last night and WU never answered (the calls were made before their 6pm Pacific time close).
The Paypal rep told me she would attempt again today. Still nothing. I just got off the phone with Paypal rep and she filed a formal complaint to immediately have the payment credited to my account. If they do not respond Paypal will take it off my account by 3/21.

So I am now on hold with WU trying to let them know they have the claim and to please contact Paypal so this can be resolved immediately. I will update you to let you know the outcome. 48 hours of this madness and all I wanted was the 2 GA tix that I purchased, lol...unreal!

So I seriously have called them now 4 different times and being on hold for about 10 minutes. Their hours state WU should still be open but it rings, goes to the hold music, then after about 10 mins says they are closed and not to leave a message. I can't even get someone from WU to respond the claim that was filed from WU.

Now on the 5th call they cut the call short and give me the same closed message about 3 mins in.

Please MMJ management discontinue working with WU. MMJ and their fans deserve much better!

Is the band or anyone in the band active on twitter?

I feel like twitter was made for situations like this.  Fans pleading on the message board approach hasn't worked out, and that's been going on for years.

I sent a note to MMJ management expressing my encounter with WU stating that if my problem isn't resolved (it wasn't a huge problem to fix, but frustrating that it wasn't fixed when they said it was), I won't be renewing my Roll Call membership. If enough people let them know how they were screwed, it will make a difference. MMJ wants happy fans. There is power in numbers!

Address? I will send one, too.

The band *did* respond to someone via Twitter yesterday. Eric Mayers is also active on Twitter, as are Carl and Bo.

I kind of wish it was still like it was in the old days. I loved the fact that 21 years ago, my brother and I waited outside a mall that had a Ticketmaster, or Ticketron or whatever it was, located in the music store where we could get tickets for Pink Floyd (without Waters) at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Since we lived about 2 hours away from Nashville, we decided to go to that music store in the mall, that was 35 miles away going more north, in hopes there wouldn't be many people in line. We lucked out! When we got there in the middle of the night before the tickets went on sale, there was only one guy waiting. Our only hold-up was that we had to wait on the guy opening the place up to turn on the computer and log in. We got 3rd row for 4 of us! A few months later, we did the same thing for Pink Floyd in Indianapolis. We got 10th row, dead-center in the Hoosier Dome!
TICKETRON!

One of my most fond memories is waiting outside in the snow for four hours for Ticketron at the Smithtown Mall to open. I was 21 and buying tix for The Unforgettable Fire tour. Did I mention I was released from the hospital (pneumonia) an hour earlier? Ah, dumb youth  :cheesy:

AH, the bad old Ticketron days! I did the same thing for "Pink Floyd" in 1987, waiting outside the sporting goods store in Greeley, CO that served as the one ticket outlet in town. I scored 3rd row, way to the right of the stage and couldn't see shit. And we liked it!

I bet Eric, HH, etc. could tell us some stories.

Haha, you guys are youngsters! I remember hanging out over night for Teletron tix before they became Ticketron.

Absolutely ridiculous and obviously unacceptable, and WU had better rectify that situation with a quickness. And that better mean you get those tickets, not just your money back.
