smells like another "browser error".

In a phone call that was finally answered by WU, yeah, that's what it was... browser/user error.  Not a POS ticket system that breaks when, what, maybe 500 people hit the system?  I shouldn't have even called WU, it just got me more steamed about the situation.

I have no direct knowledge but I'd be real surprised if the number for today's presale was anywhere near 500 trying for tix. Since it was only open to Roll Call, and judging by the amount of people posting in the Minny thread, that number could very well have not even been 10% -20% of that.

In fact, I'd say even the other week when a lot of shows went on sale at the same time, I doubt that number approached 500, imho. Shitty system that sucks big time. The "browser/user error excuse is unacceptable, and a bunch of bullshit.

Update: I received a follow-up email advising me of the best browsers to use when attempting to make a pre-sale purchase. I found the response to be rather smug, given the presale is over and that I am using the latest versions already. Tin/deaf ears are not the hallmark of a company committed to taking care of the customer. If WU is not committed to taking care of the customer and MMJ continues to use WU then one questions MMJ's commitment to their fans.

Add me to the list of disappointed fans.  I had a pair of tickets, got all the way to the "success" page, entered my name in the area that requested the name of the person who will get the tickets at will call, finalized, and got a confirmation page on the screen.  However, nothing in my order history, no confirmation email, and nothing charged to my credit card.

Of course, I emailed WU.  But I figure the more people that post their gripes the better considering CC's post that the management is listening/reading.

Check your account dashboard.  Anyone else have the "external" link for Minn tickets?

Don't get me wrong, I am not a ticketmaster fan.  But if you get tickets in your cart, then it's simple to complete a transaction with any browser despite millions of people trying for the exact same tickets.   If it takes paying a little extra for the fan club or paying the same and forgoing another T-shirt, that would be worth it for a better ticket buying experience.

What a tease to have the tickets and then they disappear.  I feel like the kid in the Eddie Murphy ice cream bit who didn't get any ice cream.  And then Eddie offered, "Wanna lick?  Psych!"  That's what WU did.

Hi everyone, there was high demand for these shows this morning and fan-club tickets did sell out, but Roll Call Members get a second chance at pre-sale tickets during the venue pre sale on Thursday. Codes are already in members' dashboards for the pre sale taking place here: http://bit.ly/1N77wib
Have a Roll Call question? email: help@wonderfulunion.com phone: 844-963-7385 (1.844.WNDRFUL)

Watched the 12 minute counter go to ZERO, while I was attempting to check out.  All while I was waiting on reply from website...very disappointing.

I'm sure I'll get tickets elsewhere, although it is frustrating when you just want to secure tickets.

I'll relax, enjoy what I have.  Some problems really aren't problems at all, just minor minor inconviences.

Doesn't help those of use who purchased lesser quality seats due to the cart issues with your system.

Anybody have contact info for the Band's management?  Not expecting they would remedy anything -  I would just like to provide feedback on the poor customer service and the poorly designed system by WU.  Think all we can hope for at this point is to let them know it's not working so they explore other options next time around.

Here are some email addresses. Though I wouldn't be surprised to find out they are run by Ground Control

High demand has nothing to do with having your system fail during check out.  Are you telling me that when I was trying to pay for my tickets someone else bought them?  I don't think that's how your POS system works and I think you need to start taking some responsibility for the issue and make things right.  Are my 4 tickets in the 2nd row going to be available at this "other presale"? Do not simply point someone to another presale.  Please rectify this issue.  Take responsibility and have some pride in the customer support you provide.

Is this the same presale that the 78k Fb/68k Twitter followers of The Current (the vast majority of whom did not purchase Roll Call) have access to? If so, that is no solution. It is WU piggy-backing on an existing presale in an attempt to take zero responsibility for their horrible customer service--while still accepting 100% of our non-refundable dollars.

So where is this pre sale code that is in my "dashboard"?  I am not seeing it.

Just gave the Wondeful Union support line a call and after being on hold for a few minutes the message switched over to let me know that their offices were closed for the day... I appreciate that right after you told me they are open from 7am-6pm Pacific time and it was 5:45 PM at the time.  I love MMJ, but this has been a terrible experience.

Is this the same presale that will be available to the 80,000 members of the Current?

APR

We all understand supply and demand.  But when part of the available supply is in our grasp (i.e. cart) and then to have it disappear is very frustrating.

Informing us of other sales open to the general public, which is the reality when the password is spread around everywhere, is not going to make fan club members happy.  Neither will keeping angry fans on hold, hanging up on them during stated open for business hours, and blaming search engines.

The most ridiculous aspect of this entire fiasco is there are only around 15 of us who had problems. If a company (WU) is so inept that they can't take care of 15 customers who had problems through no fault of their own, how did they ever get hired?

Yes. I should have given my Roll Call money to The Current instead. :(

They need to just admit they're still working out system glitches (or at least lie and say they're trying to..) I think everyone can accept honesty and new system inadequacy. I don't think people can stomach the disregard of the capture of the tix in the cart and then magically disappearing and lack of customer service (at least keep people on hold with the hope of talking to someone during working hours instead of a recording informing them of the working hours, ...which they are not apparently working).
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Got all that and yes I agree it appears to be nothing but a tag on to a different presale, but....

whats the password? I was able to see the section refereed to but I cant see a password associated with it and at this point I'll try anything that dosent involve going through this site to buy the tickets...

I feel extremely grateful to have scored tix this morning for the Mpls show.  I'm sorry to hear so many people had issues.

A bit of good news about this show is that the tickets are sold through Univ of MN since Northrup is on campus.  I have had really good luck buying tickets during the general on sale using the Northrup website http://www.northrop.umn.edu.  They are MUCH better than Ticketmaster and don't usually attract a lot of scalpers.  They are also better than having to deal with Blundeful Union.   An additional bonus is that ticket processing fees are only $8 per ticket, which makes the total for all seats $50.  One tip is that the site works a little better using the Google Chrome browser.

For example, I'm going to The Decemberists tomorrow at the Northrup.  I got good tickets easily during the general onsale and the show eventually sold out.  There have only been a handful of tickets available on StubHub (14 currently, I believe).

So, good luck to all on Saturday.  Maybe we can arrange a meet up before the shows.
