These new songs are definitely going to work well with the rest of the catalogue. When I first heard Believe I thought it sucked ass,  but after a couple more listens I changed my mind about it to the point where it was stuck in my head. Then gearing it played live was like whoa....... It was so great to get this experience!  Thanks band for letting us come watch you rehearse these songs,  thanks for putting so much into the encore,  and thanks ultravisitor,  for letting me be your plus one. I hope you had as good a time as I had.

Good meeting you Fully!
Same here!

I was hoping for Steam Engine and got it. Was incredible.

New album is 100 times better live. Honest Man was best I've ever heard!

So glad my best friend and I got to stand behind you! Also incredibly glad we got to hear Steam Engine together! Your positive energy definitely manifested that song. Amazing show.
Rocking out and watching the joy on your friends face as well as yours was pretty awesome,  Olivia. Glad to have shared the show with you!

Thanks to everyone for the reviews and post show chatter... So glad that so many great people were able to anchor those shows. Friends and family indeed!

All the more excited for the GATH and ensuing tour... Can't wait to hear that Tropics drop right before a giant Cobra

Last night was a truly magical experience. My heartfelt thanks to Timescaper and Chap for making it happen for me. Let me know how those Wisconsin beers treat ya!

Glad you made it in Woldie.

So the new jacket is officially his new tour duds.  I can't imagine wearing that thing in the sunshine swampiness at bonnaroo and other sticky, hot outdoor shows this summer.

Great encores!  I really hope that this is a sign that they have decided to implement some of these songs (down on the bottom, honest man, master plan specifically) as staples in the upcoming tour.  Some of the usual suspects could really use a break and this is the perfect opportunity to do that.

Very excited that the new jacket appears to be here to stay.  Looking at it now it sort of resembles the color scheme and overall feel of the new album cover.

Wait! You're the guy in the gray shirt we hung out with at the monkey wrench? I didn't realize I was meeting Woldie!

No, I was the one at The Monkey Wrench who gave you a ride to the show in his 2-seater!

I have already posted this in the "Show Posters" thread, so please forgive the transgression, but if anyone has a spare print from Night #1, please message me!

I think "Thin Lines" has the potential to be a monster live. The guitar solo near the end is some of the best jacket riffs I've heard in a while. I just want them to extend it a good 10 minutes. They could take that solo to some pretty fucking rocking goddamn motherfucking badass places maaaaan! That's just like my opinion though.

Even better! Maybe you told me your forum name,  but it obviously didn't register. It was lots of fun hanging out with you,  particularly when we were waiting in line for our ticket holders ^-^

You know, I'm sure I met some of you last night at the Monkey Wrench and in Brad's (?) car on the way to the show. (I'm the English teacher from Chicago.) Anyway, I had a great time actually meeting people from these boards for once. Glad we were all able to have a good time.

I couldn't stop listening to the live version from OBH, then when the album "dropped from the sky" i havent been able to stop listening to it. Jim's voice is so dexterous, so bendable and flexible. He's got a magical voice...fuck anyone who disagrees...this is OUR band guys AND THEYRE BACK!!!!!! Woulda given anything (short of my beautiful lady, my awesome little dog Rivers, and my guitars and pedals) to hang out with people from this board WHILE SEEING A MMJ SECRET SHOW!!!!

You guys were in dreamland the last two nights!!!
anyone of you guys who were at Headliners either Monday or Tuesday WAS ALSO LUCKY ENOUGH to see OBH in 2015???  Cause thats almost too much  Jacket Fever

I took this photo of a setlist someone got from night 1 (I believe it was Carl's).

Looks like y'all got a great show.
I'll have to wait to hear most of the new album but I love that "Down on the Bottom" was played, and to close things out no less.  Of all the new songs in their live repertoire that I have heard enough of to form an opinion, this is my favorite.  I hope I get it a few times this year.

For those interested in posters from the Louisville shows.  http://www.madpixel.net/store/posters/   I unfortunately didn't get to go, but who doesn't want a matching set of MMJ posters for 30 bucks? The artist said of 10 of each were available and I picked up a set a few hours ago...

Stevie

Really love those posters but ill restrain myself from purchasing one so that someone who was at the show can get one.
