Early entry info coming soon? I hope so

Still nothing? I hope they offer it. It is usually up by now.

What's the best place to park (preferably free) for the Austin Music Hall?

Not sure how much free parking you'll find, but if you get there early enough there are lots of meters in the area.  There are some paid lots around there too.  Pretty easy to park.  I've found the app ParkMe pretty useful here in Austin.

Thanks.  Looks like the metered parking on Thursdays and Fridays has a 3 hour limit from 8am-Midnight which doesn't help.  Are there meters close by that don't have those restrictions?

I don't believe so, your best best are probably the paid lots that are a block or so from the venue (assuming you dont find a street spot). Those lots are usually $5-7. The venue is downtown in a pretty hip/busy spot with not a lot of parking to begin with.

Anyone going to these shows feel like doing something nice for your fellow fans?

They have been selling some autographed merch with only 4 signatures this tour. I'm sure this is unintentional, but it's still kind of crappy for those of us who bought them. See these threads:

http://mymorningjacket.net/index.php/topic,19697.0.html

I know my situation can't be addressed now, but it would potentially limit other fans facing similar problems if you could let the crew/band/merch people know. Even just swing by the merch table and ask to see some autographed items. If you count only 4 autographs, point it out to them. They could pull those and make sure they get signed by whoever is missing.

Thanks.

No problem Mothy. I didn't see any autographed items in Vegas, but I will definitely take a look and let them know.
Thanks man. I just don't want other fans to end up in the situation I'm in.

True.  And, if you look west of the venue, paid parking is pretty easy to find.

Free is pretty tough in downtown. You could probably park at the whole foods garage.

Do not do that. They do tow. I used to work for their corporate HQ in that building. you have a few hours, but they do tow and have people going through the parking lot every hour.

Any Jacket Junkies out there looking to do some pregaming before the shows?

From C3:
Doors at 7:00 pm
Fruit Bats: 8:00 pm - 8:40 pm
My Morning Jacket: 9:10 pm - 11:30 pm

That would put early entry at 6:45 if they're doing it.

PJAMVedder

Cam you think 5:30 or 6:00 we would be safe to get in line and get rail?

Cameron

No idea. In Cleveland there were 4 of us there for EE but that show was seated. Red Rocks was nuts. I'm planning on being there around 6:15.

Ha. Sorry for the bad info.

Ha, no worries. It would suck to leave with such a high only to find your car gone.
