They've opened with OBH over 60 times since '99.
Ha!  We just can't let that stand... Off to the spreadsheet.  Well done, Thomas!

Is this spreadsheet a published thing or just a personal scorecard? I would love to see it I live reading shit like song statistics of bands!

My favorite live version I've heard was Brooklyn Bowl, Night 1, which is up on archive.org.

St. Louis had some gems...How Do You Know was really special, and Strangulation was epic, but I think they were saving their energy for Red Rocks to be honest. There were many, many shows this tour with a lot more magic, but it's all in the ear/heart of the beholder!!!

Yeah that Beacon set takes the cake.  Its as if a fan created it or something, but better because they did.

Come Closer

I was surprised when people were calling that Beacon show lackluster. Quick Like A Flash was one of the best things I saw/heard in 8 shows this year.

i think the ones calling it lackluster were just more of the "sampler" mmj type fans.

this was also by far my favorite set list of the year! definitely no disrespect to those fans though

How can they take it as anything but disrespect, though? Just because they don't agree with you on something as subjective as a good setlist doesn't make them any less of a fan. There were some really ugly, elitist posts in that Beacon thread. I hate to see it continue here.

i never said they were less of a fan my man! i personally have friends that absolutely love mmj, but dont like some of the songs in that set list. they still love mmj so thats cool with me.

im sorry you took it that way, i wasnt meaning to sound like that

The biggest reason the Beacon setlist looked so good to me is because it included so many treasures I've wanted to hear for years, in one show. There's something so psychedelically sincere about this lineup. But that Brooklyn Bowl show is so magnificent because there was such extraordinary vocal experimentation.  There was a playfulness and a re-imagination of phrasings that only happens when the planets align just so...of all the bootlegs, I fell in love with the weirdness on that one.

And since OBH technically happened in 2015, Night 2 took the cake. That moon and that wind with some Bob Marley tunes was just more than one soul could bear without overflowing.

Hope y'all have a muse-filled and musical 2016!
