"I Think I'm Going to Hell" the version of Jim singing it in a very colorful locale in Holland just blows me away, especially after the cool spinning interveiw about his dreams.

'I Will Be There When You Die'....for sentimental reasons....

That's just a horrible question I think.  It's like choosing between a sugar pie or a chocolate bar.  Both are so sweet, so it's impossible to choose which one is the sweetest.  But if you point a gun on my face, then I would say I will be there when you die. Yeah, not original, I know, but it's a hell of a song with so much emotion put in it.

I am realy new to MMJ but am quickly falling in love with all the songs - right now my favorites are "O Is the One That is Real" and "Come CLoser."  Does anyone else think that the guitar line in "O is the One" is reminiscent somehow of Del Shannon's "Runaway?"  Or maybe the guitar just reflects the melody of that classic song.  Something 50's-ish there.  I listen to it over and over.

No doubt.. for me...
When I heard " I will sing you songs " the first time live a couple years back... it destroyed me.
Right about 8-9 minutes in where Jim starts wailing and they're playing that awesome spooky wonderful riff... I get chills every time.
Hard to pick just one though.

Last night it was 'Run thru' that did it for me. I haven't been able to get it out of my head ever since.

John did you forget me? Run Thru has been my new favorite song since before the new album came out. It's the best rock and roll song since...well..in a very long time.

Right now it's "Just one thing", a song that keeps flowing in and out of my (sub)consciousness and also a song that describes my life at the moment quite well...   :)

There's a funny thing about that song: I remember hearing it first through John's FTP-server. Back then, there was a studio version, but it was only available on a Darla compilation CD I could never get a hold on. Around that time, I discussed that song on this Forum, saying I really wished they'd put it on the new album, but I thought they wouldn't. Then the album came out, and guess what? There are days when I like to think I'm a tiny little bit responsible for that...  ;)

Ah, nothing beats self-flattering...  ;D

O,

"Just One Thing" is probably my second favorite MMJ song. Beautiful and dare I say quite passionate.

It would have to be the song that got me into MMJ - The Bear.
But It Still Moves has some gorgeous tracks-- Mahgeetah, I Will Sing You Songs, Run Thru, Just One Thing and Steam Engine are exceptional, as are others...

The answer to that question is easy:
Oh... Mahgeetah... Mahgeetah

I've decided to go with the theory that Jim is singing about his gee-tar.

Anyway, before I heard that song, it was "The Way that He Sings."  Before that, it was "Come Closer."
