QuoteBlue Oyster Cult would be a cool opener :D

I just went to a Blue Oyster Cult show. It was one of the best shows I've seen. BOC together with MMJ would be an incredible mind-blowing show.

Mike Doughty and MMJ would make a great tour. They are labelmates now and Doughty has a record coming out in a couple of months. I'd kill to see them play together.

Ok, that's harsh, but I'd really like to see them.

I'm seeing them 4/15 at Mohegan Sun in CT--I am totally stoked :D.  The last time I saw them was at the Channel in Boston--I conviced my buddy to hang out awhile after the crowd dispersed and I ended up drinking with Eric Bloom and Buck Darma (they even signed a $1 bill for me) it was 70's rock god nirvana 8)
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

i think jim should get the guys back from Month of Sundays and do a reunion tour. im partial to them over mmj.

Y'all are naming some cool bands, yes, but I think they should revisit Wayne Robbins & The Hellsayers opening for them.  They were perfect, and with the new rockin' material and CD they're working on, it would be an amazing show.  I am so not kidding.  Plus I'm always for having an "unknown" band/artist get an opportunity to shine in front of a new and larger crowd.  Why go with the same old, same old bands and combinations.  I mean yes, a lot of the combos mentioned would be great - but who really needs more than MMJ on that stage to kick it????

Ck. 'em out for a mind expanding and possibly altering experience :-).  http://www.goodluckcricket.com/hellsayers/index.html

I am so down with you on this one.  I love being surprised by bands that I don't know.

thanks Laurie,
you're too sweet.  It'd be a dream come true to play w/ MMJ on  tour......i think it'd work out well, too..maybe someday.  11 songs mixed for demo cd and you'll hear them

how about dead meadow...they are gaining steam and both rock out pretty hard....dead meadow could open, everyone would smoke out and love it while they pound us with slow guitars...than we smoke again and get drunk when mmj comes on with their joyous yet hard music.  sounds like fun.

tomEisenbraun

sounds like a plan...but I would like to actually remember any MMJ show that I attend.

I follow your method, Eisey.  I'm useless under influences, as far as focus and memory are concerned.  So if it's something I love (like the MMJ), I like to rock (mostly) pure and drink later.  (Perhaps that should be my new motto.)  r.o.c.k.

I dont know if I alreayd mentioned it, but how about Iron and Wine? Two amazing beards, two amazing acoustic sets. Hmmm?  8)

it's like as if the city had sex with the black crows. great album and they should both tour in support of their new discs!

The Love Scene are fantastic. I saw them open for Lucero awhile back. Great show. That's a three act show I couldn't miss.
