What Dead covers should they do?

That article in the BAND section that has Jim talking about Jerry Garcia got me thinking.  So...if the band decided to a cover version of a Jerry tune, which one would you like to hear?

I'll put in a vote for 'Mississippi Halfstep' and one for 'They Love Each Other'

Ha, this is strange. I'm not very familiar with The Grateful Dead. They're more of an American phenomenon I guess. Not unlike Dave Matthews, Phish, Widespread Panic... Bands I hear so much about but are totally unknown over here.

However I've heard one Dead album, "American Beauty" and it sounded pretty good to me...

based on looks alone, i would have to agree.  i don't think jim is a big Greenday fan.  broaden your horizons indie hipster t-shirt wearers.  it isn't always about a scene, i thought it was about music and the Dead played some really cool shit.  Get over yourselves. ;D

Definitely Wharf Rat. Jack Straw, Loser, Bertha, the list goes on. I can see why some people don't like the Dead, but you've gotta respect what they did, which no other band has ever done. It won't be long before they get at least some respect from the indie community, but I could care less if that ever happens.
