Oh wow,

How Could I Know is sheer bliss. Wow, I can't explain this stupid grin on my face, it's like flirting with the girl of your dreams and having her bat her eyes beautifully back and that fluttering feeling of the uncertain "this has to work". It's like that. Only musical. And absolutely amazing.

Why is this song so beautiful? I could laugh, get married, or die to this, and it would all feel perfect in place.

I love you Jim James.

Hold my life until I'm ready to use it

doesn't it make you just glow?

This song could ALWAYS pull me out of any kind of horrible mood ever, I think.

It's such credits music.

I never want it to end. I have it on repeat in my iTunes. My audioscrobbler page is gonna have like 50 plays from it today.

This song is wonderful.  It's helping me get up on the right side of the bed this morning.

Anyone else think the chorus sounds closer to "I'm not old" than "How could I know"?

Are you sure that's not a steel guitar?  I don't hear the omnichord.

I love the way you put this!! Sometimes listening to the Jacket is akin to like a purely blissful dream where nothing and I mean nothing is askew!

God I LOVE this song!!

But seein you feels good, and its always understood.
That anything much sweeter would make me die.

Put on headphones and listen to your right ear. You'll hear that signature round fuzzy tone in the fadeout. Definitely steel guitar hanging, but most certainly some OmniChord in her too.

What is the OmniChord?  Is it that plastic keyboard doo-hickey that he played with on a few shows?

tomEisenbraun

yeah it is. it has that really warm sappily happy sound. Sounds all warm and fuzzy. I forget what type of synth tone this is called, but you can definitely hear it in the mix waaay towards the end, and its in the fadeout.

Same instrument as used on "Wordless Chorus"
