it has taken me a while to think of mine... but i think that it has to be anytime. This song does strange things to me, if you see a crazy man who looks like he is sitting in his car alone screaming. it is me hearing that song
People always told me that bars are dark and lonely, and talk is always cheep and filled with air.

It depends on what day it is and what mood I am in, but I seem to always go to Lay Low.
If you don't know for yourself, how could you ever know for me....

I think Dondante is easily in my top 5 MMJ songs, but the thing is, it's not always listenable. I need to be able to get in the zone for that song in order to really listen to it. It's not a light song.

So my favorite song off the album would have to be Lay Low, even more so now after hearing about how frickin amazing it was for all of them jamming on that song and finally getting it to "click". That day when everything finally came together, you know, the end of that jam where all the guitars come into harmony and it just gets "locked in" and sounds ammazingly tight? Hearing about that made me go back and appreciate the song so much more, and I about threw my neck out at the show last night when they rocked the hell out of this one.
The river is moving. The blackbird must be flying.

Sometimes Wordless Chorus, sometimes It Beats 4 U.
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

It would have to be Dondante, for sure.  When I first heard this song at Bonnaroo this year, chills went up and down my body at a rapid speed.  I will never forget that moment.

I was laying in a field of grass at Bonnaroo stairing up at all the clouds rolling by while Don Dante graced me with it's pressence in this universe.  I think Don Dante is the most amazing song this band has recorded.  I also think that "Into The Woods" is the centerpiece and most important track on Z.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say.  Except that at that point in Bonnaroo, my brother gripped my shoulder, almost fainted, and just shook his head.  I head tears in my eyes.

I love every song on this album. Dondante is, in my opinion, one of the best songs that exists.  Like, in the world.  It ranks up there with the other things that I need to have full quiet when I'm listening:
Beethoven's 9th, all movements together mmm
Mona Vanna by Rachmaninoff
Dark Side of the Moon (whole thing)
Candles in the Rain by Melanie

It's almost like a miniature symphony.  There's so much going on in there.

I will never forget how I felt when I first heard it.  Well, ah, okay, if I first heard it at Birmingham, I kind of forget because I was too spazzed, but I definitely remember, almost second for second, how I felt at Cat's Cradle. :)

Don Dante is a great example of why music was invented.
