There are so many great details about the dvd which make it even better.  What do you love about it?  I'll start...

I love how Jim is standing behind the man and his llama during the actual concert...very funny.

I love the part in "O" when the end starts "the radio will play" and you see some girl going wild dancing.

I saw Tommy back there, too!

I love the camerawork.  Esp. the tight close-ups of hands, shots of just Jim's mouth & beard and the mike, etc.  It's a very beautiful and interesting film, even apart from the music.

Towards the end of Mahgeetah, there's a close-up of Jim's guitar. You can tell he's broken a string, but it doesn't matter. He still rocks it the fuck out. Love it.

Towards the end there is a shot of girl swaying to the music that I really love.  I can't remember which song.  She looks familiar.

I love how the extras has pictures of all of the fans from SF that took the time to get dressed up and play the "part".  Nice going guys, and you were rewarded.

I love how Patrick does his flight routine on Run Thru.

I almost pass out from pure emotion when Carl drags those last couple of sax notes out at the end of Dondante.

There has been a lot of discussion on here of a lack of crowd noise but I for one am glad to finally have a live recording of Dondante that isn't ruined during the soft parts with lots of blabbing.  (Though you can still hear it if you listen real close.)

Finally, for all of the reviewers over the last several months that used the term "aimless noodling" please watch the last 20 seconds of OBH (or any 20 seconds for that matter) and tell me that Jim and Patrick aren't the most connected, tightly arranged pair you have ever seen.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

we are concern,
we are hope despite the times

As amazing as this DVD is musically, I must say.....The final minute or so with the bear just sent me into this ecstatic-giggling-school-girl hysteria that I will probably never recover from.  Seriously.  How one band can be so funny and yet so honest and serious at the same time never ceases to amaze me.

i love the part at the end when they show the crowd screaming...the crowd that is "staged"...you can see Tommy and i think Jim in the crowd screaming...it was great!!!
If you're lucky, MMJ will fill the void you didn't even know you ever had. If you're luckier, you'll get to see them live.

I always think of it as a "flight deck officer landing a plane" routine, but either way it is absolutely kick ass... I'm gonna try and get the moves down so I can do it with him.

I think Brandon Jones is hilarious. The guy with the llama who gets torn to shreds at the end. I enjoy the ending of 'Off The Record' when he is in that physcadelic state. I went to grade school with Brandon and was always a character.

I'm thinking we should all dress as flight deck officer's for one of the shows.  We can signal each other back to earth after the solo on One Big Holliday.

The flight deck crews have the most random and psychedelic color schemes since Sgt. Pepper's, but without the helmets (which are way too expensive for a costume), I doubt anyone would know what we're supposed to be.

Unless we wore randomly colored raincoats, ballcaps, and big bucket earmuffs, and waved these sweet ass flashlight things around...

I break a string almost every time I play that song, it's kind of a running joke with the guys I play with.  so that part made me smile too.

I love watching Jim rock out at the end of It Beats 4 U.

I love at the end of the credits when the bear is sitting on the toilet.   ;D

Apparently the answer to the age old question should be "Not always" ;)

Xmas curtain brings a huge sentimental grin to my face.  That song takes me to a place where I was first getting to know MMJ, back....back...then
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

Does the Pope shit in the woods, though?
The river is moving. The blackbird must be flying.

If he does he wears a funny furry suit to do so!
