QuoteA short lived band that featuring Jim Olliges (Jim James of My Morning Jacket) on vocals.

Very spacey, very cool. This was released on Omnicron Records in Louisville, KY on vinyl only at first. Due to some objections from various parties over language used on the album cover, all remaining copies were destroyed, and an edited version was released on CD. These files are from the CD. I also have the original 12" (even more rare!) that is not edited. If there is interest, I will get a recording of that as well.

Track List:
1 Helicopters
2 It Came From Norway
3 Elevators to the Sky
4 Smiling in My Sleep
5 Check In...
6 8:00 Everyday
7 I hear Water Running
8 The Bark on the Trees was Darker than Usual as if it had Rained

Anyone heard this? I am downloading it right now from the pig.

yeah, i've got a copy of CD.  good early material.  I would like to hear the unedited vinyl version, I didn't know that story.  Could you email him and ask him to post it?  That would be too cool.

It's crazy how much Jim's writing has evolved over the years and especially during the Hotel Roy/MMJ transition. Comparing lyrics from Month of Sundays to MMJ is drastic and completely different from one another.

Ebay's got it.   The description says it's Jim James' rarest work ever.  I wouldn't go that far, but someone might buy it.

I set the first bid at a dollar and haven't bid since. Its now at 5.50. I may place another bid closer to the end of the auction.

I mentioned it to him but nothing yet...he did say he would post it if enough interest....maybe you should send him an email as well.

Yea, I asked as well. He told me he'd do it but it may be a little while as he doesn't have easy access to a record player. Let's just hope he keeps his ratio up and doesn't get booted... last I looked he didn't have that good of a ratio.

fingers crossed and I'd say the more people that could pm and request it, the better.

Holy shit!  I bought a copy from ear xtacy for 8 bucks no more than a year ago.  I guess I should have bought three or four copies.  I told Chico to get his there and he said he snatched up the last copy a month or two ago.  I guess the "rarest material by Jim James" description really convinced someone!

I was outbid on this auction at $40.  Luckily, the seller had another copy.. (or they tried to drive the price up..?)  No matter!.. it was a small price to pay for some pre-Jacket goodness.  :)

Now if I could only figure out why I can't convert my Month of Sundays vinyl to mp3.  I've followed the directions here: http://www.br0wn.co.uk/vinyltocd.htm  but with no luck... maybe it's my soundcard input??  Any suggestions?

Ok, I about crapped myself when I didn't recognize that 7-incher to the right of the Green Giants....  Thankfully it is the record from the sleeve to the left...  And I already have it.  Whew.

This is a sickness.
