The point is he was impeached (only the 2nd President to ever be brought to trial while in office) and Bush wasn't. What Bush has done was way worse than what Clinton did. This seems like an obvious double standard. Get it?

He is a savior to some people and to some people, he will never be able to do enough. But to others...he is more important than Jesus. Because really...really...has any of us heard Jesus give a speech...or heard Jesus say that he would try his hardest to change the path we are on? I haven't, either.

Great post, LD. Aside from all the pork in this stimulus package, he's tried to act pragmatically so far. I think pretty much all this appointments have been pretty good (even i didn't see that coming w/Richardson) I think a lot of obama supporters are in love w/obama himself, but the majority are in love w/the idea of what he could mean and how he could unite *instead of divide* he is working for the good of everyone, not just half the country who believes what he does. He's come to the middle on a few issues already and stuck to his guns on a few (guantanamo)...sorry to turn this into political discussion--

(but dudley, a lot of us were/are skeptical about a super lib being elected, if you haven't seen past that by now, not sure what it would take to convince you)

Nope, still don't get it. If they both suck in the same way, it would stand to reason that they would either both be impeached or both not, but there both weren't. Clinton was impeached and Bush was not. That's not fair. It's a double standard. Now do you get it?

Jim's aunt explained to crazylove in Louisville during the song it is about the passing of his grandmother which would have been her mother. Crazy comforted her as she sobbed during the song. Simple.

I don't get this either.. Bush never lied under oath... Why should he be treated the same as Clinton? BTW I love Clinton but you just can't lie like that man..

no double standard, bush never lied under oath. that is not saying one is worse than the other, but when you lie under oath as the president, that tends to hold more water in the government's eyes than a Rolling Stone poll on how much of a terrorist bush is. pretty cut and dry. so, no, i will never get it. i tend not to get things that make zero sense.

impeachment is such a big political/judicial issue too; Clinton lied under oath and while Bush did something much worse (leading a nation into a military conflict based on false or little info) it's more grey area in legalities. i think kucinich had the lead on this a while back but i haven't followed it for a while. It would be YEARS of subpoenas and testimony and there would probably never be an impeachment. I can't see it passing in both houses (or does it have to? can't remember but i think so) thanks for the info TEO. we could have used the answer 8 hours ago LOL..

I see you edited.. Good idea.. I'd like to see some documentation on G-mo killing it's inmates.. I'm pretty sure like almost 500 of the 800 have been released with no charges... And the only deaths were those of the cowards who killed themselves while in detention...
