Frankfurt - grrr

All right, so first off, I hope whoever was sick in the band is feeling better...

Second off, I took a car-sharing service 2.5 hours from Freiburg to Frankfurt, planning on hanging with the band a bit, have some drinks and made it to the club at 7pm only to see a sign saying that the concert is cancelled.  Now I am in Frankfurt, Germany, don't know anyone or anything and had to put together a night.  Well, I guess I better find the hostel I thought, and so I did, and then met a couple of folks and drank too much but sometimes the absolute irony of life is too much.

HOpefully I can check the band out again sometime soon.  Can someone possibly hook me up with a show B'n'P if possible?  I don't even know MMJ's music really, they are friends with a band called Canyon that I know and so we were gonna hang but oh well...

thank god I had Ben Harper two nights later (i.e., last night) in Strasbourg, France to get over it.

Am I not allowed to tell my side of the story?  Read the first thing I wrote...shit, I went way out of my way to get there to a city I didn't know anybody or anything only to find the concert was cancelled.  It was a bit rough on the constitution.  I still had a great weekend, but anyway...

no worries dude, and I understood your point I think, but just didn't want to be lumped in with "misunderstanding fans".  I was going to hear their music for the first time, actually, I haven't heard any of their music save 30 second snippets on amazon.  I was going more to check out the music, yeah, but also show some Americans some good ole' American hospitality while they're far from home.

about the downloading, I would love to but "DSL" in Germany sure as hell ain't "DSL" like America.  It's like a fast modem connection so downloading music is a nightmare for me...maybe some kind of B'n'P or trade could be cool...

can't be too bad.  i've got folks who download at like 1.5 kbps...which sounds like torture!

i'll send ya an email tonight with the instructions...just try it and let me know if it's painful.
