ah heck, canucks can't even participate... at least conan is in my time-zone  ;)

Dang!  I don't get NBC on my tv.  I've gotta get someone to tape it.
Anyway, my guess is... Just One Thing!

Alright my official response is Steam Engine.

At least that is what I am hoping for.  I had that song on repeat about 20 times in the last 10 hours.

That is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

One Big Holiday

The delivery of the lines, the pacing, everything about this song screams BIG HIT to me.  It's the song I remembered after my first show and the song almost everyone I know who's heard the album remembered.

I think (and hope) that this will be the song on the show tonight.

igor

if you don't get nbc, and get comedy central, they air conan at 7 or 7:30 pm. same show as the night before.

Since Riny suggests it won't be One Big Holiday, I'm joining the Evening Jacket and voting that it will be Steam Engine.

Can you imagine folks at home hearing that beautiful tune coming at them when they're used to getting hit with noisy garage band throwbacks on Conan's show?

Here's wishing them well, whatever they play. And I think an equally interesting question is whether the folks at home will ever get to see Jim's face. Or will they get the "regular live performance Jim" and just see lots of hair.  And will they get the Buffalo?

I think he should keep the mystery and just give them the hair!

A 70% chance of "Mahgeeta", with scattered "Dancefloors" possible...

Methinks there's a reason they put those two up front on the album...

Although a cover of "Light My Fire" is the ever present possibility..."If I was to say to you/Girl we couldn't get much better!"

averycraftygirl

the guys were SPECTACULAR and jim DID keep the mystery well wrapped, hiding behind his hair. great great great!

conan: "that band was 140% commitment."

if anyone didn't see it, let me know. it's on tape.

God they were GREAT.

I toasted them for their first major television appearance.

Conan seemed to genuinely like them..  that's awesome.

V-I-C-T-O-R-Y-!

Awesome showing.  Fantastic performance.  It makes me so happy to see them performing on a national stage.  I hope there were many people watching, and rocking.

And now down to business.  What did I win?  ;D

I was watching Conan. That was a good band!

What song was that?

I think that song kind of sounded like a Neil Young tune.

I couldn't see the singers face with all that hair...

mdalilama

Did anyone else catch Conan shaking his fingure in his ear like "Fuck, that was loud" just before they cut to commercial?

God. what a beautiful mess of hair...

just caught the performance on conan, and i admittedly had never heard of the band before. they were incredible. i waited long enough for conan to go to commerical then came on here to find out more about them. AMAZING band.

fakeplasticspivey

...this is TRULY the greatest thing I have ever seen.

dan nicolau

What song did they play on Conan?  That was awesome!

fakeplasticspivey

Its called One Big Holiday off of the album It Still Moves

thebigbang

Now we know-- Yes on the HAIR. No on the BUFFALO. And yes to One Big Holiday.

Congrats to MMJ on a great performance on Conan, but they tear it up anywhere they play so it's to be expected. Thing is, now a lot more people know about it.

I can't imagine anyone who puts on a better live show than these guys. Not with the material and energy they are working with.

Eight days till the Louisville stand. Joy to the World!
