London Shows Postponed

hey everybody, please read the news page for some important information about the London shows.

I know this is gonna be a big disappointment but it's out of their hands and they'll do their best to reschedule the shows.

Nothing there I can see.

Have had my Scala tickets cancelled via an email from Ticketweb but no info about Jim's solo show for which I also have tickets.

Does that still go ahead?

Due to health reasons, My Morning Jacket will unfortunately have to cancel their shows on September 6th and September 7th in London along with Jim James' DJ night. The band hopes to reschedule these dates in the near future.'

"hey everybody...thanks so much for wanting to come to the shows in ye olde london town. we were really looking forward to coming over again and kickin it old school style, but unfortunately for health reasons we are simply unable to come-we've looked at all the options, and just cant find any way to make it possible right now. we feel strongly about this because we want to do it right or not do it at all-and right now it just cant come together.

what a nightmare have been waiting for both these shows for so long. Desparate to hear the new material and have so far resisted downloading new album. have wasted so much money on trains etc >:( ah well nevermind anyone have any suggestions on any alternative for tuesday and wednesday night in London?

Go and see Nile at KOKO... they're great if you like Egyptian themed hardcore death metal. Personally they scare me.

But I also feel bad for the band because I bet they really didn't want to have to cancel.

I'm trying to think of the fun places that I went to in London...  There was a great club in Brixton (which can be kind of rough, but this is about steps away from the train station, although, truthfully, I had my wallet stolen there, BUT)  Ah crap what was it called?  The something Arms?

I'll check.  There was some great, great music there that night...

Maybe this is just another American group scared to come to London?

Maybe not, maybe there's too much bad stuff happening in USA at the moment.

Maybe someone is really really too sick to travel and play.

It sucks no matter what.

I'm down €250 on travel and accommodation. Nothing else on in London that's decent and isn't sold out.
